Great game. Avoid if you use the Radeon 7000 series of GPU. There is a known issue with no real solution that will cause the game to crash if you use the 7000 series.

Access to PvE content is gated behind several different transactions. From the entry ticket to the latest expansion (~$50), access to the active seasonal content (~$10), then finally end game dungeon access is sold (~$20) individually ( Each dungeon key is tied to a specific expansion). This game nickles and dimes its player base while delivering middling content at best. But Bungie said it best themselves, "Over delivery is actually DANGEROUS...We should not ship this, because it is an over delivery that will set us up for failure (in the) future."

The F2P experience is very limited for the amount of time you will end up investing in this game. If you choose to shell out the cash and buy any of the expansions, you run the risk of the content you bought being removed from the game, without a chance for a refund.

Do yourself a favor and save your time and money. Go touch some grass, or pick up a hobby. Just keep your wallet closed and stay far away from this intentionally mediocre time thief.

Huge improvement on the first game. It keeps a lot of what made the first one work, but stream lined the experience. Over all, if you enjoyed the first one, or even had a passing interest, check out Darkest Dungeon 2. Its a better experience, and the effort put into it shows.

The Good:
-Difficulty scaling is a lot more gradual, allowing for more people to enjoy this game, no matter their skill level.
-Great voice acting.
-Diverse and interesting environments.
-Wide variety of enemies, with encounter buffs to shake things up when it starts to feel too familiar.
-Large amount of customization options for each character. The only reason a run will be the same as a
previous one is if you want it to be.

The Bad:
-There are a lot of mechanics in this game, a lot of the tutorials that the game offers are a MUST read if you want to go beyond basic runs.
-Half the time you will spend in this game will be dealing with menus.
-The UI feels a lot darker and empty compared to the first. Lots of empty space that could have been used to maybe fix menu navigation.

Characters locked behind paywalls are way too strong.

Free to play progression options are lacking, and the few that are in place are buggy or not worded clearly enough.

In general, avoid the game until its F2P progression methods get addressed.

Have had a total blast playing this game. Has a variety of characters with unique abilities, as well as a wide selection of weapons that help make every run something new.

Only complaint I have is that the availability, and connection quality of multi-player lobbies is very poor. The quality of the connection to a game host has a huge impact on the quality of the game.

Gave the games 3 modes a try, not impressed.

There are 10 characters to choose from, each with their own unique play style. While great in theory, it is pretty clear that some characters were not designed as well as others. For example, the character Bug, the cute flagship character. While the character has a great art design, its gameplay kit is a mix of things that really don't work well together.

Over all, this game feels like an early access game, give it about 6 months and it should be in a much better state of play.

If you are really in the mood for a PvPvE experience, check out a game called "The Cycle". Almost the exact same experience, just with a few more years of development time under its belt.

Like the idea of mission based co-op experiences? This game is for you! Multiple classes available to play. Character customization, class progression and end game content.

After multiple years in early access, this game has come around to a fun and well rounded multiplayer experience.

Updated on 26AUG2018. After spending some time on the steam forums for this game, I have found lots of technical fixes that have solved 99% of the issues I had for this game.

Multiplayer is now working fine, and after some optimization to my settings, graphical bugs and other small technical glitches have been solved.

Have to say that this game is 100% worth picking up.

Game needs to be polished. Has some optimization issues, and online play is hard to get working as of 19AUG2018.

Besides those issues, the game is fun to play. If you enjoy the monster hunter series, then this is definatly the game for you. If you feel like the game may be too buggy or rough around the edges for you, then give it a week or two. Or wait for the game to be on sale on steam. Time will fix the issues most people have with this game.

Over all, a blast to play, but hold off for a little while if you arnt 100% sure this game is for you.

Bought the game while it was on sale for free weekend. Well worth the 14.99

Gameplay is very similar to a fantasy version of Left 4 Dead. Maps are fun and atmosphereic. The loot and crafting system is simple and diverse. Over all a good game to kill some time with.

As of release, the game is currently broken. There are plans to release a patch on Nov 1st that might fix a lot of problems.

As it is curently though I can not recommend this game at all. The multiplayer is too laggy to play. Normally this would just cause issues landing hits, but the lag in this game will turn some encounters into unplayable messes. Bosses clipping off the map into unplayable areas, HP being locked and unable to be damaged. With no way to exit a multiplayer match without force closing the game only makes this issue more annoying.

That said, when the game actually works it is a huge improvement on the last Xenoverse game. Learning signature moves from all teachers is a lot easier. The hub world is an ever changing zone populated with characters all through out the dragonball series. With secrets and new NPCs coming and going all the time.

The combat is the exact same from the previous xenoverse game with a few minor tweeks here and there.

Over all, if they manage to fix this games awful bugs it will be a great addition to the Dragon Ball series of games.
