This game has everything that Eve online has AND SO MUCH MORE! I was fascinated by Eve but when it came to realism, it just did not feel right. The whole cockpit view and the interactive panels inside the cockpit in Elite Dangerous gave me that true pilot feeling, like I was inside an actual craft, not just being dragged along behind a poorly rendered 3.D model. The game has all the great characteristics of a simulation with enough arcade in it to make it fun for everyone. I love this game and if you are into games like Freelancer, Microsoft flight Simulator, Euro truck driver etc... you will love this game i guarantee it. It has full immersion so you feel like you are part of a living world. Trading, Exploring, Pirate activities, Search and rescue, there is something in it for EVERYONE !!! I have really had a chance to go in depth into the mechanics of the game and there is just always more to find. The scanning system is a bit confusing if you have to learn the game alone, but if you have someone to run you through it once, you will never have trouble again. You can make lots of easy credits just by collecting information in the various systems and selling to the other systems for hard currency. GREAT! And the variations of load-outs you can equip your ship with, ASTOUNDING! I love how the small touches have been observed too to fully immerse you in the game, like when you turn your head in the cockpit, if you look at a certain screen, it will pop up, just as it would in a real ship i assume. And did anyone else recognise the hidden Red Dwarf cameo??? Go to Veritas systems and look through them. Holly might just pop his voice out!!!! BRILLIANT! I cant afford Holly yet, cos i'm on fixed income, but as soon as I can, I AM! So overall guys, this is a game you HAVE TO HAVE in your collection alongside Freelancer, Wing Commander, Aces of the sky: Battle of Britain and other classics......
