A good breath of fresh air for those who have played D&D or similar tabletops and want a video game related to them, and a decent game for those looking for a story they can change with every action they do. Game has so much to explore, and even I haven't seen everything there is to see in it yet.
For those wondering about the possibility of real-world topics presenting themselves, it pretty much ends at the character creator. Have not seen real-world agendas being pushed in game, and those that claim it does most likely have no idea about Forgotten Realms history and lore.

Have fun, and choose wisely adventurer, your choices DO matter here!

Early Access Review
To be completely honest, this is a dying game. The lead dev (also owner/creator of the game, I might add) is very toxic, as is the community that still follow them without questioning. I have played many hours in the hopes that it would kick off to be a very interesting game, but as for how long it has taken to develop even basic gameplay, I would not recommend purchasing this game (more than 5 years might I add for basic gameplay). The fact that the lead dev will deny his fans' interests and focus solely on his own terms of what makes this game in particular fun to play and actually playable is ridiculous. The core gameplay is hardly ever worked on, and updates take forever and are massive every time they want to push a new skin for a creature or anything miniscule. All in all, don't get suckered into this game.

Edit: I have heard things have been changing in good strides and I will bring back another update and possibly recommendation. This has been 6 years after this comment i believe.

The game itself is pretty good in story, basic controls, and especially sounds. However, I would have to say that the in-game music is a bit overwhelming at times, and could be obnoxious if you couldn't change the settings. Overall ambiant sounds are amazing and really immerse you into the game. Controls are simple, but need practice getting used to as they are not very fluid. Pretty good game.
