saltk1ng: I cant recommend this game to anybody. I love this game, I love the pro scene, I love the mechanics. I didn't spend 1,400 hours because I hated. I've spent hundreds on skins. So why do I not recommend it? 3 reasons. 1. The community is cancerous everyone is toxic, out of the 1000s of people I have played with, less than 30 of them actually weren't toxic and wanted to win. 2.The game is infested with cheaters, the pro scene has cheaters, I cant go 5 games without finding one. VAC(Valve Anti-Cheat) is useless I've played against blatant hackers who didnt even try to hide it and they didnt get vacced. Fortnite(A FREE GAME) has a better anti cheat than Valve, the biggest PC gaming company in the world. 3. The developers dont care, all they want is money. Look at Valve's pride and joy, Dota 2. The game has source 2, is constantly updated, is free and you don't need anything else. CS:GO devs rarely update, when they do it's for cases. They have a history of implementing overpowered weapons and leaving them in the game for absurd amounts of time. How out of touch do you have to be with your own game to do that? They have nerfed guns when it made no sense (and destroyed the pro scene while they are at it). Hit reg is broken i have aimed on people's heads with SNIPERS and taken my time and still missed, only to see in the replay that it was completely on target. How can you do this to a game? CS brings in just as much if not more money then Dota and yet they still treat it like . CS gets 2 majors (world championship equivalents) with 1,000,000 dollar prize pools. Dota gets 12 majors a year with the exact same prize pool and has an "international" (Dota's world championship) with upwards of 15,000,000 dollar prize pools
