Early days but there is proof of concept.

Going to say now since launch there have been no updates with an invalid discord link this was quite clearly a cash grab. Avoid at all costs until the developers actually respond and remain active..... DO NOT BUY

Gameplay

This game ticks all the boxes in terms of a 3rd person shooter.
you start off with the prologue which rolls into the campaign and opens up the multiplayer side of things such as Co-Op and PvP. The Co-Op allows you to play through selectable Missions throughout the campain but i would suggest you play the solo campaign first to enjoy and not endure spoliers. There are different classes and there is melee and gun combat. The Tyranids are the enemies and are a relentless horde of alien monsters that when are grouped can be overwhelming to say the least. During the campaign you are assisted by a group of Battlebrothers AI. There are little cutscenes that add character to the game and are immersive and do not spoil the flow. As you progress you will unlock other weapons in the armory such as the Jetpack and Greathammer.

Graphics/Frames
Runs like water off a ducks buttocks and this i have experienced on maximum settings while streaming.
refer to my specs but i have had 70fps and above.

Progression

As you progress you unlock points and xp which goes towards your cosmetic appearence and are able to unlock more visuals for your marine in co-op and PvP.

Final Thoughts
This game is amazing with or without friends and is worth every penny in your piggy bank.
You will enjoy this game for now and for time to come.
I bought gold edition and since buying have not stopped playing.

Okay so first off i know this is day one and the game has been getting traction and i see lots of people streaming and getting great frames.... Unfortunately not for me. I have tried every trick known to man and it is going no where i am currently on 1.4 hrs and all that time has been spent trying to get above 30-60 frames. I currently get 20-30 and that is with every background program switched off. My temps are low and my drivers up to date.... I am on the brink of refunding as i just don't know what the problem is!? i tried it on lowest settings (trash) and got 50-80 fps lmao!
I just don't know what is the issue. I installed the game on NVME m.2 and well Im getting no love from this game... Will update this review after and optimisation patch.

Update 18.8.24
Since this post there has been an update allowing me to select DirectX11 which significantly boosts my frames to a whopping 60-120 fps so I can now stream the game as well as play it on Maximum settings!!
This is awesome and because of this I can fully recommend this game.

Gameplay
You start off in an island that has a lot of factions trying to either survive or create war to eliminate it's competitors while some just want to join forces and live in unison. The game has you play an investigator working on all sides and fulfilling your royal duty as a Legate. You have inherited powers the same as the islands inhabitants and will use them in combat and exploration. There are no real survival mechanics only things that may give you buffs such as potions. Once you complete the missions you can complete the DLC expansion or at least start it half way through completing base game.


Graphics/Frames
The graphics are nice giving an old feel of European Renaissance Period and fusing good backdrops of a new island springing to life with traders and travellers and liberators. The Graphics hold up great i was getting close to 90 fps drops to 80/70. It was solid and had great lighting and shading. This is also achieved with ReShade.

Progression
This is the part that lets it down... Once you hit level 46 you seize to get anymore points for talents and can only get skill points from skill alters spread around the island. This stops you from being able to fully max your Character and leaving a bad taste in your mouth. The developer has no wish to change this and actually goes on further to say that it was done intentionally and there will be no changes.

Final Thoughts
I am upset with the games design right up to the controller config you cant change without having to tinker in the games .ini files. I don't like the fact you couldn't increase your party size to run in fights with you .... unless you use mods. If this game did not have Mods i would not of written this review. If the second Greedfall is going to be anything like the first i wont waste my time. Buy this game and its DLC on very low sale to avoid disappointment.

I give this game a 3.5 as its not a bad game but has flaws that the development team are unwilling to fix.

In its current state i would not recommend.

many issues with balancing.

Food items and ammo costing way to much.

(I get timed out for 24hrs because mentioning Titov in the discord is not allowed)

cannot chop trees or get wood without an axe.

Dying of thirst as its really hard to get any water or drink source.

A soda can sots $3.500!!

With these things addressed it may be good over time maybe adding vehicles but for now because it really is not addressing these issues i would wait for more updates.

On a good note it runs really well and gives good frames and the guns are pretty cool that's all i have positive to say really, Character creation is Meh.

I want to give the honest truth about this game.
But first i have a Geforce RTX TUF GAMING 3070Ti
I have 48GB and i have a Ryzen 9 5900x on a watercooled tuf gaming motherboard and still manage only to get 60fps on lowest settings!?

There is loot everywhere with no containers to loot from.
The world is barren and i only managed to find one enemy AI and there are no missions.
I have play-tested briefly but just will not recommend this as a buy-able game as there are way better titles that have better standing for the price this game is being sold for.
Not to dishearten the devs but you want to put this game out there like this and have people give false reviews???

Not really a player base and the rocket launcher is op not worth it really.

Gameplay
This game is Super Fun!
It offers a lots of things to do from pick-pocketing people to beating up enemies.
Make your money and climb your way up to success and overthrow the mayor.
Driving cars is fun and learning new special moves for fighting.
Weapons in the game are good but at times become annoying as they break after a while.
I have not gotten through most of the game so i know there is still a lot more for me to uncover.

Graphics/Frames
The graphics in the game are not demanding and have a great feel for those who are into poly
I would say most pc's can run this on max.


Progression
As you progress you buy clothing and upgrade your place in the under-city base i do think however you can buy a building in the higher regions as you progress into the game as you can already buy businesses


Final Thoughts
This is a Gem of a game and not one to be missed it does offer multiplayer but i have not found anyone to play it with me. Be sure to get it you wont regret it and for the price it is worth it for sure.

I will say 4.5 as i would love to see a better weapon system and also i feel there is more that can be done in the multiplayer area.

Gameplay
Gameplay loop is to pick mission from 3 contractors and fulfil the objectives before extracting. You can extract with whatever you find in the Raid except Backpacks.... There are different guns and ammo and also attachments. There is the ability to play Co-Operatively with friends and online players. The AI bots stalking the land are Tactical and will cover and flank. Use health items to heal.

Graphics/Frames
The graphics look great and remind me of Insurgency. Im getting a stable 60fps with some drops here and there.

Progression
Level up with the factions and trader to get better gear and better rewards.

Final Thoughts
I think the game is looking okay but has a very long way to go. The map is repetetive and gets boring, also traversing the land can be upsetting as there are areas you cannot access leaving it feeling like its not really open-world. The Character movement is not great i feel jumping is too weak and it takes no interest in Vaulting or Parkour style like most modern shooters. Half the items you find have no real use and are only for being sold. Your base of operations feels like it should have more use as it feels like a shed and you cannot interact with things like the drill press or worktable. I feel this is very bog standard as of now and has a lot of potential to improve if listening to it's community.

Im gonna give it a stable 3 out of 5 as it has the Foundation to build into a better game.

Gameplay
Running around a forest searching for tablets to get info on what happened to the scientists while trying to kill bullet proof wild life to get credits. Then you stand on a platform and spawn wave monsters and try to kill them and get more credits.
After some time wondering around this forest with very bland points of interest you them head back to main base of operations to upgrade and re-supply.

Graphics/Frames
For an unreal engine 5 project i was not blown away at all.
Frames were good nothing to report.

Progression
As far as character creation cthis is very weak and i cant really say any more than that.
The progression is basically upgrading weapons as far as i've seen.
I feel there could be more like turrets and drones maybe even calling in re-supply's


Final Thoughts
Its very bland in terms of what i can see there is not much to it i feel there could of been more done in terms of classes maybe adding other elements like food and limb damage. I dont think there are enough points of interest and got bored running around the map searching for tablets.
