Borderlands 2 is a great quality looter-shooter with TONS of depth.

I've taken the decision to change my review to negative due to recent events. Countless promises broken, hundreds of players banned because of a addition to the game that is purely audio/cosmetic or for supposedly stream sniping (THERE ARE STREAM DELAYS FOR A REASON), Server crashes happen more often than they should on a title this big, game is still seeing hackers filtering through in small trickles even though the dev's say "We have methods of detecting people".


How a developer of perhaps the biggest release of the year can get away with banning his players for BEEPING at a streamer in-game is beyond me. Irrespective of whether these players truly were harassing a user ingame, it's YOUR job as a developer to fix the problem, not ban players for playing the game. add a volume option to directly effect vehicle sounds and this wouldn't be an issue... Stream sniping? ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ again, if the streamers were that bothered they'd add a delay to their stream, CS:GO streamers do it in their competitive environment so why can't Stone Mountain and the likes?

Adding micro-transactions after promising they wouldn't be added is as bad as releasing one of the many WarZ clones out there and then ditching after a few moneys of making money off it. Stating that it's okay because they're cosmetic only is also ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, it doesn't take a genius to see that if you wear a set of clothing that is green or camoflage you will be less visible to the typical player.

Server crashes, I believe is probably more to do with the game being early access that the performance of the servers themselves, however it just shouldn't be something that is a problem at this point... You have a team of developers, artists and programmers at your disposal but you opt to have them adjust the wrist positioning on the car wheel for aesthetics? FIX the issues preventing players from enjoying your game instead of polishing the aesthetics.

Hackers? A general problem that plagues any big title but you shouldn't suggest you can detect them and then deny the posibility that you can't catch them all... There are still hackers, there probably always will be. your best bet is to go multi-layered, allow VAC to do its job, add EAC for start-up protection and let Battle-eye do it's consistancy scans.
