I could've paid for this, it's very good! There are some things I would've changed, for example: they had a moment during the ending where they could've added a bit of umph, but missed the oppurtunity. But if you liked Portal 1 & 2 you will definitely like this and it's free so what are you waiting for.

The greatest episode of South Park ever!

A fantastic experience!

One of the best, if not the best colony games made. - The base content is great, and the workshop content makes it amazing. The worst part about it is, when you start it up, your day is gone.

I really appreciate CD Projekt Red as a game developer and for that reason I try really hard to like this game but I just cant right now. They have fixed a lot of issues since launch, so massive kudos for that but there are still so much more to be done. The AI is extremly wonky, especially the police AI. As soon as the player breaks any law the only response they have is to kill on sight.
The immersion would be really good if it was not broken every 2 minutes by a broken AI or physic glitches.
The extreme bullet sponge nature of the game is extremly immersion breaking, however I do not think this is something they can or will patch, it's just something I got to learn to live with.

I've tried playing this game on 3 diffrent occasions and I've seen imporvments each time. Hopefully one day it will be good enough to play through, I really think the story will be worth the wait.
But, at it's current state I would not recommend you to play it.

If you like Rimworld, you will like this. If they keep it going in the direction they are heading now this game will be a gem.

As of now it's missing a lot of basic mechanics that Rimworld has and a game like this need. But they are just in Alpha so it's looking very hopefull.

If they add most of the basic mechanics Rimworld has and mod support this game will live for a very long time.

Good job devs, I really hope you keep up the good work. Abandoning a game like this would be such a shame cause the potential is enormous

Okay, about this game.

It's a good game, no doubt about that but there are some things they could've done better. If you would compare this and Commandos 2 I would say that Commandos 2 is still the superior game. Which is a shame since that game out back in 01/02.

-Firstly the enemies detection mechanic is a bit weird. Let's say you have a partisan sound an alarm while you have another partisan hide in a bush behind enemies at another location, both will be detected. This is an extremly annoying mechanic, -especially if you are playing the hardest difficulty where you cannot save.

-If you try to knife kill 2 enemies at the same time and one lives a bit to long, other nearby enemies will be alerted even if there is no line of sight or no way they should've heard.

-You have to hover the mouse over enemies to Loot/carry/retrive throwing knives, it's fine at first but gets very annoying after a while and it can be very fiddly when there are alot of dead enemies that clutter your screen.

-I miss alot of functions that Commandos 2 had, you can only indicate the LOS for one enemy at a time. I found no way to have my partisans cover a specific location before comabat is engaged.

-The hit mechanic needs to be adressed someone. In my play through i rarely used guns, mainly cause i couldnt rely on my partisans to hit, even tho the little circle indictor was full. There should be some shots that cannot miss and should be one shot kills. For example I had a guy with a shotgun in a bush like 2m behind a enemy, he missed both of those shotgun shots. Things like that are just annoying.

-The maps are good, but I'm missing a way to vault up platforms and the like. You can cault over short and tall fences but not train platforms, trains etc. it makes the maps abit weird to traverse sometimes.

I'll probably add more when I remember why I wanted to write this review in the first place.

-Edit. Oh yeah, it has a few bugs, especially the maps with time limits, I had the game say my time was up several times, which is a drag when u play the hardest difficulty and you cannot save. So you have to start the map all over.
I've also seen some bugs with enemy detection, being detected through walls etc.

Overall 8/10 would play again. Commandos 2 is still better.

I liked this game alot, I only have 2,6 hours on this account but played it alot on a friends account. Very sad that it's been abandoned, it had so much potential. The creator should put out the source code and stuff so people could finish it, I would love to see this game as it could've been.

I cant recommend it at it current state.

Yea this is a good game, but all these DLCs ruins it.

I welcome this update, the more gamemodes there is the better. The F2P aspect shouldn't be an issue and it should really make a diffrence since Prime is what matters. It wont bother me that is, cheaters will be mostly non-prime. It will be terrible for new players but for us older players I dont see how it will make a diffrence.

People, dont be to quick to judge, let us see how this plays out, Valve do listen to us and if this f*cks the game they will make changes to counter this. Good job Valve, I still believe!
