If you only care about the product, it's a pretty solid open-source game engine. I've only used it for probably a cumulative 10-20 hours (outside of Steam), but my experience with it has been pretty good.

If you care about the drama going on at the time of this post, go on Twitter, look up "Godot woke" and have fun (/s).

I first played Overwatch (1) during its open beta before launch and immediately pre-purchased it. I played it almost daily for 2-3 years before taking a break from it, playing only once or twice every few months or so. I then returned to the game when the first Overwatch 2 was announced, and I've been keeping up and playing ever since (although I skipped a season).

I'm not a reviewer, so this won't be very in-depth. I'm just a guy who wants to give this game a positive review.
As a TL;DR: I love the gameplay, the heroes, art, and animation, and would recommend this game to people for these aspects of it, but when it comes to everything else (i.e. monetization and management), it's absolutely TERRIBLE.
I personally LOVE the game and genuinely have fun playing it; I wouldn't be playing it if I didn't. If you don't have fun, don't play.

- GAMEPLAY -
The art is one of the best parts of the game, no doubt about that. The in-game art and animations are beautiful, and if we're talking outside the game, the art/animation department are top-tier, they always deliver with high quality cinematics, origin stories, and character and skin designs. If you want to know about balance, look elsewhere, I'm not really knowledgeable about it.

- ART -
The gameplay itself is, in my honest opinion, really fun and engaging, as it has always been. All of the abilities are unique (for the most part) and feel good to use and most of the game modes are fun (my favorite being Escort).

- HEROES -
As for the heroes, they're really fun and interesting. The personalities are varied and the backstories are either fun, badass, or intriguing in some way. I think they all fit well in the universe and in the game.

- MONETIZATION & MANAGEMENT -
The reason most people are leaving negative reviews. The monetization and management of the game are absolutely THE things that are holding the game back and attracting hate from players. I'm not going to go over it here, you can throw a rock in any digital direction and hit a negative review mentioning how bad it is.

I really love this game, a YouTuber I'm subscribed to played this game and I decided to try it out myself. Turns out it's really fun!
I absolutely love the cute graphics and animations. The songs are also really good.
As soon as I started playing it I spent an hour playing it non-stop, it was very easy to level up, even now I'm leveling up quite fast, at the start I leveled up after each song, now it's slower but it's still really fun.

The money is definitely worth it, I really recommend this to anyone who loves rhythm games (for example osu! which I'm a big fan of).
