Balatro is absolutely the best pick-up and put-down game to play on the Steam Deck while doing other things and it's not even close.

Tedious. That's the word that best describes Hollow Knight. I see a lot of people complain about the difficulty, but the difficulty would be fine without the absolute tedium of navigating back to where you died for another shot at figuring out a boss's spam attacks.
6.9 hours in, and I cant see myself playing any longer. It's tiring, and worse, I'm bored.

It's an alternate history, Soviet retro-futurism mix of Half-Life, Bioshock and Fallout. Good stuff.

The art direction and voice work are great, and the XCOM-style battle system combines great with the stealth afforded to the player in choosing when and how to ambush enemies. The strategy/tactical elements are enough to give you lots of opportunity to plan without being overwhelming because there are too many variables.

I didn't know what to expect at all from this game, and what I got was not anything I thought it would be. It really is like nothing else and the way the story builds is perfect. It got me right in the feels.

This game is super fun and addicting. One of the most fun aspects is that you never quite know how your run is going to go due to the randomly generated nature of the game. There are many ways to deal with various enemies and other situations that will arise, too. The best part though is that there are a plethora of easy to use mods to change the game up! For me personally, these made the game infinitely more enjoyable because I could tailor it to the way I wanted to play. If you like strategy games, or just space/sci-fi stuff in general, I recommend this game. It is simple if you want to play it that way, or can get very complex.

No exaggeration, this is the best game I have ever played.
