I've sunk a lot of time into this, I bought the gold edition, at first it was really hard to play but that's only because its drastically different mechanically. there is a SEVERE lack of features that were present from the other games but i continue to have fun regardless.

I heavily believe its getting too much hate for all the wrong reasons. You guys expected it to be just like the other games, when the original development team for the other ones are no longer around. For a game made by interns and mobile developers (speculation from reddit, but compelling) its incredibly impressive. and I continue to have fun with it a week later with my group of 3 friends.

Now all that being said, it is heavily littered with bugs that the development has acknowledged and has said they are working on it. I'm not ready to give up on it, it just launched, even though this launch was exceptionally underwhelming. I'm excited to see what comes with the bigger patch 2.

As a mostly FPS Gamer I took a gamble purchasing this game. But it turns out this is probably one of the funnest turn based strategy games i have ever played, the post apocolyptic setting is popular amongst many genres of games and the amount of ruthlessness the creators put into the game, whether you lose 1 team member or all of them but one, it's never easy to leave them there to die. The story is fun to follow through with and the random scenarios throughout the game and constant radio chatter just makes it that much better. It's a kill him or help him type of game and I love every minute of it.
