Yes!
Will I be comparing it to Sunless Sea?
♥♥♥♥ YES!

So Sunless Skies is a good game but...
It's a lot more forgiving than Sunless Sea, if you ♥♥♥♥ up and die the slog is considerably less to get back up to the point you were at.
The atmosphere just is not as oppressive as it's predecessor because it lost the horror element a bit with the reduced difficulty (altough thank the burrower for the game being easier to get back up to speed now). It feels more exploratory/mystery based, which is not a bad thing.

Artstyle is a lot better, since we're not stuck in a cave there can actually be lightning effects! It is still the same format of 2d handpainted backgrounds/foregrounds and they did a great job.

Writing is so-so, quite a lot of memorable quests that hooked me but also a few bland filler quests.

Music/soundscape feels forgettable and repetitive.

10/10 would eat crew again.

It's linear, it's dumbed down for consoles and it still costs way too much.
If you liked the previous thief games, it's not for you.
