[EDIT: I read the checkbox as "wrote this review for free" instead of what it actually says "received this product for free" I did pay for it and couldn't change that checkbox]

I hear a lot of people complain that this is back to the ways of microtransactions of theHunter Classic.
Personally I did get this DLC even with this in mind.

Why do I not think this is similar to microtransactions of theHunter; easy, this is a non essential, possibly even unhelpful addition to the game.
Sure the tents allows you to fast travel, but they weigh a lot so setting them up is a lot of hassle and how many of you find game on the way where you want to go anyway. I don't see players that don't get this as handycapped compared to people that are willing to pay up, which was a big thing with the Classic version, if you wanted to try a new scope you had to grab your wallet. Does this DLC give you a whole new experience to the game? No. Does it open a whole new array of possibilities? No, just mobile fast travel points. Am I barred from any content of the hunting experience if I don't get this DLC? No. Should you get it? I don't know, do you want them to make this kind of DLC payed or the ones that add actual new animals for example, I prefer to give them the signal that this should be the stuff people can choose to pay for, not the content that actually expands on the game, I'd hate to go to another MP session with friends and find them not being able to hunt the same herds as me.

I've been giving this game a chance every month or 2, just tell myself to try the game and see if they fixed it. I am a Total War fan all the way back to the original Shogun. I knew it was going to be hard for CA to live up to the brilliance of Rome Total War. A year after release I am still dissapointed and sad of what they managed to launch as a finished and polished product. Instead what we got was a béta at best, for full price.

My last try came with the Emperor Edition free DLC which CA claimed would fix all the problems, as if they never said that before. Nevertheless I tried it and found myself dissapointed again. so I started looking if I had the DLC and went to the store page and this I should not have done! I was horrified by the amount of DLC already available. Howcome, a game that has so many problems manages to launch so many DLC, even worse, the combined cost of the DLC is € 60,42, whereas the basegame is 'only' € 54,99. It is simply outragious they prefer to unlock-new-factions-DLC which customers have to pay for then to sort their game out. This might just have been my last try of the game and I am not sure if I want to support CA any longer, but today they have definately lost my position of an absolute fan of the company!
