Reina made me a simp

Edit. 400+ hours later:
Man, i really hope they turn this around. I love the game as much as i hate it for the obvious problems that are seemingly ignored by the moneybag corpos.

Heat needs a lot of work. It is now obvious that the Heat System is not going anywhere, so the devs'll have to work with what they have. When talking about Heat, 3 needed changes come to mind:

1. Nerf tracking on all of the Smashes. They nerfed Burst, so i dont understand why characters like King still can threat you with almost UNSTEPPABLE one button ~55 dmg + oki bs, which is also plus on block. An obvious change.

2.Make Heat Smash only accessible if a character had their rage activated (went under 25% HP) that way, the obnoxious panic button becomes more like a Rage Drive from T7, and Drives in T7 never were or felt like a BS get-out-of-jail card that can be popped any given moment of the match for pressure and forced 50\50. Furthermore, T7 Drive is what T8 Heat should've been built upon imo.

3. Fix all Heat related hitboxes. Not all of the cast has issues with their Burst & Smash hitboxes, but there are many examples:
-Bryan. The character has a very low hitbox on their Burst, so everytime a player extends their combo with one, i kinda roll my eyes, cuz it look ridiculous! My character is literally hugging the floor and Bryan still gets a true spike, whereas characters like Reina need to be very strict with their timings and cannot get the spike when the opponent is too close to the ground or is on a wall. Bryan's Burst has too much of a reach, getting hit with it from range 3.5 is getting tiresome.

-Jin. This guy straight up has everything broken with his Heat hitboxes. Why his Smash guarantees a wallsplat on any map? Even if he needs it for the sake of balance, it still looks dumb the way Jin yeets opponent to the other match. Burst hitbox is even worse than Bryan's. Having unsteppable Demon Paw is also questionable now that he has Scourge.

....And so on. Half the cast has similar problems with their Heat and i really hope that Namco addresses these issues.

Now, to the latest situation.
I hate Clive. Not because he is OP (he's kinda not, even), not because it's not the character i personally wanted for DLC, it is because he is out of place in Tekken, visually and thematically.

I do not care that much about Tekken getting more anime or cinematic, but the reason i stuck with these series is because unlike other popular fighters, this franchise had the least amount Guns, Swords, Magic and other crap.

Tekken used to be about Martial Arts with only a sprinkle of non-martial stuff, and thats what i and many other players like it for.

There are tens if not hundreds of fighting games where the characters fight with everything BUT their fists and legs, so why bring that ♥♥♥♥ to Tekken? No one played Noctis in T7 cuz he was cool, he was used to get the ranks more easy, and no one wanted him in T8. Even Negan, still being the WILDEST pick for a DLC - felt and played like a Tekken character.

Clive is out of place with his sword-based attacks, magic, flame dashes and other visual vomit. He wont be missed, the casuals who'll drop the game after 10-20 hours wont even remember him.

In conclusion - Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. Not the greatest thing to say about a future of a game, eh?
