Don't care about much about the gameplay (jk i love it, not much of a fighting game player tho) but the story, music, and lore for this series is insane. Grab this ♥♥♥♥!

What an amazing end to a legendary trilogy. I can't express how much this trilogy means to me now, and it's a relief that this last chapter did not disappoint at all.

I ain't gonna write a long ass review for this one, but all I gotta say is that this one will let you see the darkest parts of the Trails trilogy & it really gives more character development to almost everyone in the cast. Now if you are new to this trilogy and you are someone who loves amazing story writing, superb character development, wholesome & heartfelt character interactions, good jazz & rock fusion ost, and an amazing world building—then Trails in the Sky Trilogy is for you.

...now time to start a new adventure in Trails from Zero.

(Also, shoutout to my buddy Deku for introducing me to the trails franchise, and gifting me this third chapter! <3)

Yakuza 0. Spoiler Free Review. This is my 2nd playthrough of Yakuza 0, my first playthrough was on a yarr yarr back in early 2019.

Pros:

- The story is one of the best in the yakuza series if not the best. I was always in the edge of my seat on what was going to happen next in each chapter. Get hyped and get sad because the story of this game is one hell of a ride.
- Story pacing is really good, the only chapters that I felt that was sorta slow was Chapter 1 & 2 but other than that the rest is good.
- All side & main characters on this game are really written well especially Goro Majima & Kiryu Kazama on how these two turned into the legends we know on the sequel games. Side characters ain't slacking too, they are so build up very well that it makes Kiwami 1 and the sequels even a better game lol.
- Combat is just brutal and satisfying. It has a good amount depth for a beat em up game especially how there are so many variety of moves per style you can unlock through out the game. SFX for the combat is god tier especially the heat moves, it's the best in the yakuza series.
- OST is good to best. Kiryu & Majima's style battle themes are amazing, almost all of the heavy synth metal ost for the action scenes gets me hype, boss ost's are amazing and memorable (aside from a few ones imo), and the sad piano/guitar ost for the sad substories & moments in the story always gets me in the feels lol,
- The writing of the substories in this game is at it's peak, idk if it's just me but I feel like I enjoyed every single one substory I encountered on this game compared to the other yakuza games which I always have mixed feelings.
- The mini games are fun although I think Yakuza 5 has better variety, BUT disco, cabaret club, real estate are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun that it made me wish there was a yakuza standalone game by those mini games haha.
- The setting on this game is during the 80's and I love it.
- The antagonist(s) on this game is really good.
- The final boss is HYPE AF gameplay, story, and ost wise.

Cons:

- It doesn't have an instant proper style switching for the combat.
- I wish the 4th styles were unlocked through the main story
- Some boss fights were kinda annoying lol

Overall it's a 9.8/10 for me

Yakuza 5. Spoiler Free Review

Pros:
- It has an awesome theme on it's story which is about "Dreams".
- As always it has amazingly written side & main characters especially the new playable character, Shinada.
- This game is probably the biggest Yakuza game up to date, you got 5 cities, 5 characters to play as, each character having it's own battle theme, and ♥♥♥♥ tons of mini games/substories per character.
- It removed some cliche tropes you expected from the past Yakuza games (Yakuza 3 - 4 to be specific) so you will find this game a breath of fresh air.
- Gameplay is similar to Yakuza 4 but just upgraded and enhanced. It's almost close to yakuza 0's combat, but the attacks still lack the punch (sfx specifically) like yakuza 0 has.
- The OST is decent to best. The battle themes per character is awesome, It always got the heavy synth metal music that I always expected from the action scenes, Haruka's dance battle ost's is a certified BOP, and the sad opera/guitar ost on sad scenes which always gets my eyes watery lol.
- The substories are cool, some are interesting & funny, some are sad, but there are some that are kinda just eh x_x
- The final boss is HYPE AF gameplay & ost wise.
- Tons of variety for the mini games
- Haruka's whole idol gameplay kek

Cons:

- This game may have too many side content per character for you to spend your time in that it could end up letting you feel the plot's intensity "dumbed" down.
- A certain antagonist is not written well.
- A certain segment of Saejima's story kinda took a different direction for a bit which I have mixed feelings with it.
- The story pacing is kinda a mixed bag for me. There are just some parts of the story that are very slow and got me into a "bored" mood.
- The game is so long and you have 5 playable characters to keep up with, you could end up forgetting the small details on certain events, characters, or dialogue when near the ending.
- Majima not enough screentime (jk dont take this seriously).

Overall it's a 8.5/10 for me.

Just finished this game, I like it.

This game got some good dialogue and narrative even though I got confused at the conspiracy part, the plot really thiccens when you progress through the game, decisions really change how the story will go, I really don't find politics interesting but this game got me hooked (well, only on this franchise), got some good ass characters especially letho & iorveth, and geralt of rivia is badass.

My only issues is that the 1st chapter is kinda slow/boring at some parts, I got annoyed when having to keep back tracking at certain parts of the game since there's no fast travel, I find the gameplay meh. It might also get confusing to people who have not played witcher 1 or read any books, I did get confuse at some names, especially the kingdoms, but the more you play this game, the more you know about them.
