Exploration is a blast

Island look great, movement and fight mechanics are awesome. The game really excels when you wander around, solve puzzles and figure out how to get somewhere. There are so many hidden places, stashes, crates, caves, camps and rooms to locate.

But characters are uninteresting, dialogue is dull, and decisions aren't very important. Here you can view the most significant flaws and determine for yourself whether they are acceptable:

I look at Avowed like it is an adventure rather than an rpg and the game is lots of fun. I enjoy it more than new Indiana Jones.

This game reminds me a lot of the Natalie Portman movie "Annihilation" where flora took over the animals and people's bodies.

No bugs, stutters or glitches and 135-145 fps on ultra settings in 3440x1440p. With DLSS Quality, FG turned on and RT turned off.

My rig: i7 12700k, rtx 4070ti , M.2 ssd and 64gb ddr5.

More Sniper Elite 5

Games looks better and perform as well as SE5. The gunplay and sniper shots feel fantastic. I can't get enough of the x-ray headshots. If you enjoyed the previous modern games in the series, you will appreciate this one as well.

It's a shame that Gewerth Gew43, my fave loadout, isn't available in the campaign.
No bugs, stutters or glitches so far. 125-155 fps on ultra settings in 3440x1440p.

Looks like a Fable, not like Dragons Age

This is just my opinion, but DA shouldn't look colorful like a cartoon. It reminds me a lot of Fable. Not only with positive and cheese dialogues, but overall world design. I know that this is a weird argument not to recommend the game, because Fable was a fantastic game. My point is, I was expecting that from Fable, but not from Dragons Age. The series already tried that path in Inquisition, but the game was still dark and true to itself.

The Veilguard is rather targeted towards a younger audience, who like more enjoyable and happy experience. I'm not saying this is something bad, but the older generations, or Dragons Age fans will most likely have a hard time to swallow that.

The world is only semi-open, and rather constructed from corridor-like segments with bright quest mark. The game is a rather weird sort of FPS or action type than RPG. This is apparent almost from the start. I would say in this category its like Immortals of Aveum. BTW, I love that game.

The amount of cutscenes is truly overwhelming. Almost like in Telltale games. Thanks goodness they can be skipped if you like. Combat is very easy in my opinion, and companions are used as additional abilities carriers. Most fights can be done by mashing two buttons.

The game runs very well and looks good too. Music is actually very nice. I also like the character movement with auto climbing and jumping over any obstacles. The character creator is also huge and you can customize almost everything.

Bottom line. Do not buy it if you want to play Dragons Age. If you like oversaturated with color and humor games, that are a mix of RPG and FPS you will have most likely fun playing this.

No bugs, glitches or stutter. 140 fps on ultra settings in 3440x1440p with DLLA ultra and FG on. Ray Tracing off.

My rig: i7 12700k, rtx 4070ti , M.2 ssd and 32gb ddr5.

Half-Life on steroids

I'm blown away how good this game is, considering it was done by one-man army. I can't even imagine the amount of time and level of skills required to create this game. It's like more brutal version of Half-life 2. Grapfics are really good and all mechanics well familiar if you ever played the aforementioned classic. Can't you guys do video games and other stuff instead of war?! It's looks like you are very good at it. Well recommended if you want to feed the urge of new HL game.

No bugs or glitches whatsoever and around 240 fps on ultra+ in 3440x1440p with DLSS ultra quality (no FG option). Truly amazing if this was done by one guy.

Pretty amazing

Max Payne voice, Alan Wake character and delusion in Noir walking Sim with advanced mechanics. This may be it. A real gem among all this crap that is coming out this year. For this price, you shouldn't even hesitate. Looks absolutely fantastic, and music is like from the Twin Peaks.

No bugs or crashes. 85-110 fps on max settings in 3440x1440p with DLSS max quality (no FG option).

My rig: i7 12700k, rtx 4070ti , M.2 ssd and 32gb ddr5.

The Thing on an oil rig

The voice acting and especially story are amazing. The encounters will make you look back while you run many, many times. Chills are over the body, guaranteed. What to say more, great game in The Thing climate. Highly recommended if you adore The Thing, SOMA or Amnesia.

No bugs, glitches or crashes. 90-100 fps on max settings in 3440x1440p with DLSS max quality and FG.

My rig: i7 12700k, rtx 4070ti , M.2 ssd and 32gb ddr5.

Looks like old time classic to me

I am a sucker for this type of games and it looks like Alone in the Dark will be pretty awesome. I don't know why, but it reminds me of Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, which are two of the best games I've ever played. It has great music and the graphics are not bad too. I really like it so far, and I hope it will go straight to the stars from there. No bugs or glitches, just minor spikes in performance. Around 200-250 fps on max settings with DLSS max quality in 1440p.

Magical Warfare

After so many negative reviews, I wasn't sure if I should buy it. I am glad I did.

The game looks beautiful. Maybe UE5 is not something like day and night compared to the current game engines, but the difference is very much noticeable. Especially on environment textures. The lighting looks great too.

80-90 fps in 1440p with everything on ultra. Except global illumination which is set to high to gain some frames. No bugs or glitches what so ever.

The game itself is a lot of fun. I would say it is a magic mix of assassins creed with CoD. Movement and combat are great. Lots of colors and shapes when casting spells. I must say I like it.

Update: with DLSS max quality and FG the game is running at 120-140 fps. Ray Tracing off.

My rig: i7 12700k, rtx 4070ti , M.2 ssd and 32gb ddr5.

This game took me by surprise.

Lots of fun with friends or alone. There is no simpler way to find a team than in this game. Just choose the mission and difficulty at the terminal and a bunch of people will be allocated.

I just love the whole idea. The game is absolutely brutal, but every player need to rely on each other in order to survive. Very positive in my opinion.

Occasional server issues, but great game overall. Looks absolutely stunning and runs smooth. 160 fps with DLSS max quality and FG on ultra in 1440p. Ray Tracing off.

I waited 3 years for nothing.

Really odd game in general. It is not for everyone because of that. Definitely not for me. There are some strange design and mechanic choices made by the devs. I was disappointed after waiting a couple years for this. Around 75 fps on ultra in hd.

My rig: i7 12700k, gtx 1080ti, M.2 ssd and 32gb ddr5.
