Age of Mythology: Retold – Nostalgia with Some Upgrades

Age of Mythology: Retold updates the classic RTS with better graphics, smoother gameplay, and new content.

What’s New?
  • New Content: They are releasing DLCs and events, showing a commitment to keeping the game alive—always a plus.
  • Modern Gameplay: The remaster brings much-needed updates, which improve the overall experience.
  • Visual Overhaul: Units and environments look sharper and more detailed, making the classic more enjoyable for nowadays standards.

Who Should Play It?
  • Fans of the Original: A faithful upgrade with enough extras to make it worth revisiting.
  • New Players: A perfect entry point to a beloved mythology-based RTS.

Extra Perks
  • Mod Support: Modding keeps games alive, and having support here is a big win.
  • Soundtrack: The classic soundtrack is as good as ever—great for working or relaxing.

The Bad?
  • AI Issues: The AI can be inconsistent, could be especially for people who play RTS games, which might frustrate some players.

Verdict: A classic with solid improvements and a few extras that make it worth checking out. Despite some flaws, it’s a worthy update to a legendary game!

Review Summary

Pros:
  • Immersive environment.
  • Engaging questing system with interesting factions.
  • Solid RPG mechanics.
  • Mod support.
  • Dubbed and Subbed to English.
  • Unreal Engine 5.

Cons:
  • Poor performance optimization.
  • Frequent quest bugs.

Hopes:
  • Promised full mod support (but not fully delivered yet).
  • Promised to fix the bugs and performance (Cyberpunk 2077 situation).

If you want to buy it now, you will probably have to install some mods for performance and bugs. Or, you can wait for the devs to fully fix it, then buy it later and enjoy the core game without mods.

Most Likely the Best Ghost Hunting Game Right Now

Ghost Hunting:
The ghost hunting itself is really well done. The ghosts are well-developed with cool evidence to gather, and almost every ghost has a unique trait. This uniqueness makes no-evidence runs particularly fun and enjoyable.

Gameplay:
The gameplay is fun and interactive, keeping players engaged as they collect evidence and deal with the unexpected.

Maps:
The maps are good and varied, but on larger ones, you might spend more time bringing equipment from the van than actually investigating the location.

Multiplayer:
I can’t speak about public lobbies since I only play solo or with friends. However, playing with friends in private lobbies is an incredibly fun and enjoyable experience.

Challenges and Development:
The game has many challenges to keep things fresh, and the developers have been doing an amazing job of keeping it on track with updates and improvements. Keep it up!

Loved the game, missing more updates, but can't really ask for a free game. Good quality and multiple options and diversification of gameplay, although with this games there's always something better :)

The game is really good but EAC (anticheat) destroyed my gameplay, and the gameplay of many of my friends over the months due to constant fails and kicks on people not doing anything. That added to the incompetent hands of AGS on developing and maintaining games, makes this release bad.

If you are a new player and you can play in KR server I would strongly recommend you play their version.

Very good game for training aim in fps games, i used to do this in custom maps in CS back in the day, this goes far beyond with multiple modes and more.

I don't think you can be competitive at its leaderboards because probably people is cheating but is very good to improve yourself, and maybe compare to friends.

A nice remaster of Half Life 1 game.

The game follows the mechanics and basic gameplay of the original with improved effects, textures and models. However the last levels which are in a world called "Xen" are totally different, and I can say that they nailed it. The rest of the levels are practically the same with some tweeks here and there, but nothing that really shocks you as "Xen" does.

For you old players you can actually bunny hop at very high speed without modifying anything, you just need to hold duck. For some reason bhoping while standing still doesn't work as good, but you can only bhop till you get the long jump module as one bad thing of this game i must say, and as a half life player with more than 3 thousand hours is that long jump module is used pressing jump 2 times.. This really sucks and can drive you mad once you get it, in the predecessor you used it pressing duck and jump consecutively so you could use exactly when you wanted to use it.

A nice addition for old half life gamers is that you can actually bind weapons without using console, and YES you got console, I know most of people wont care, but old players like me will greatly appreciate it.

I enjoyed the game so much as half life was my first game to play, to work on (doing models, textures, sprites and others effects) indeed half life was the game that put me the place I am right now 13 years later, so i have a big nostalgia working up here.

I give this game a 9.8/10 just for the no ability of turning off double tap long jump feature.

L4D2 in my opinion is the best fps coop based zombie game the market has ever had. Workshop addons make this evolve into a such incredible thing with free sk1ns, free campaigns, free models, free sounds, free everything.. Just cause we love to make addons for this game...

With this workshop endless content and a very fun and challenging gameplay you could be playing for so long without getting bored if you enjoy the game.

There is a good skill cap where a very good player can roll through a expert campaign without needing of farming/p2wining or anything new decade has sadly brought to us... Is all about how good you and your teammates are.

The only thing that could be considered "bad" for someone is that the graphics are old as its a game from 2009.

As for game modes there are several, and each of them unique in its own way.
ㅤCampaign. This is where you play coop PvE through a series of levels on a map
ㅤMutations. These are extra spices you can add into your campaigns such as only swords.
ㅤSurvival. Wave based survival time based.
ㅤVersus campaign. Same as campaign but special zombies are players
ㅤVersus survival. Same as survival but special zombies are again players
ㅤScavenge. Here you have to fill a generator and Z players try to stop you

Ending here, this is one of the master pieces of valve, and a game I think I will be playing forever.
Thanks valve for this quality, and for adding the workshop!

TL;DR: The game is best fps zombie shooter with endless content due to community based uploads in the workshop. The graphics are old.
