Perhaps the worst experience I've ever had with a major studio game, which is a huge disspointment. I really wanted to like this game, I'm a big fan of D&D and from what I played, BG3 is mechanically a great interpretation of D&D, but its story and game design are worse than any other rpg I've played. The game feels like a D&D campaign run by a 12 year old who's eager to show off the cool level 5 and 6 monsters he found in the rulebook while your party is still level 2. The game tells you to pursue the main quest as quickly and urgently as possible and the second area it leads you to has three level 5 bosses that are nearly impossible to beat at that point in the game, you have to savescum your conversations with goblins to avoid getting party wiped, and you have to dig through piles of trash and shallow dialogue to find one single hint about what to do next, several of which just tell you to kill monsters 3+ levels higher than your party.
