Some parts of Dungeonborne are fantastic: the maps, performance, and the combat system. Others are horrible: the class balance, the itemization, and the matchmaking.

Unfortunately, it keeps getting worse each patch. In the most recent update, they added an incentive for players to farm PvP kills--so, now, the wealthiest and most experienced players are deliberately sandbagging the matchmaking system with their gear in order to hunt newbies for sport. With the "Mithril Dice" system, it's impossible for these players to lose their most valuable items, and it's impossible for new players to catch up.

It's still possible for Mithril Interactive to turn the ship around. Then again, they could just focus on releasing more cosmetic items, instead.

Once you get past the silly graphics and complete lack of directional lighting, you realize this game has a considerable amount of depth to it. With the built in campaigns, random map generation, and community map pools, it has huge replayability potential.
