The atmosphere of 40k can be extremely difficult to get right as anything outside it's grim tone will stick out like a sore thumb. But this game nails it despite the cartoony design that Owlcat is known for, and its seriously impressive. This game can serve as the introduction into the universe of 40k, a bridge to the deeper lore or simply a fun ride for a well knowledged fan and catch all the references. There's a lot of love poured into this game and it shows!

Although despite these praise, the combat is the biggest issue for me. I've put over 1,000 hours into Wrath of the Righteous and almost 1,000 into Kingmaker, but I play those games mostly on Real Time With Pause, not Turn-Based. The combats in Rogue Trader are clunky, slow, and generally not as fun as they should've been. With the right builds you'll easily breeze through the game with no issue, the only difficulty with it being withstanding the agonizingly slow turns.

I can absolutely recommend this game if you can stomach the slow combat, and allow yourself to invest yourself in the setting. If either of these can be a game breaker for you, this might not be the experience you're hoping for.

It's incredibly fun to ♥♥♥♥ around in and simply enjoy clicking on people's heads whenever you're bored and games are too expensive. But actually grinding the game, going for challenges and whatever other bare minimum features are not only lacking but sometimes outright atrociously designed. The game wastes your time, drains your will and eats your money. Play it with a one or more friends, joke around, and when you're satisfied and payday rolls around; buy something better and forget about this for a year.

The wild and chaotic battlefields of the Old World come to life in a brilliant clash of slow and methodical strategies and wild clicking across your screen hoping that the AI doesn't notice your hero capturing a point in the background. Is it perfect? No. Will any Total War game be perfect? No. But damn if it hasn't been fun. I would wait for a sale and enjoy the game casually as you won't get anything out of ranting for ages online about the balances of the game due to the third game getting about as much support as a crippled bird on the moon.

Despite a rough start, poor performance and generally a terrible experience this game is heading in the right direction. Since the steam rating system is about as effect as throw a pile of cow ♥♥♥♥ at a wall I'll have to give it a yes do buy it, but you aren't gonna miss out on anything if you wait a year either. Grab it on sale and enjoy some fun grim dark carnage.

Wrath of the Righteous has completely ruined Kingmaker for me. Every game has its issues but even then I've spent 900+ hours (as of writing this) slaying demons. Consider my hours of playtime, love of Pathfinder, and trust in Owlcat as a backer for this game - your sign to give yourself a break from reality to destroy some demons.

While a drastic change of scenery from the first game, it offers a fantasy piratey landscape to explore with a wide open map that makes it feel like you're actually sailing around avoiding dangers of kith and nature alike. The visuals are updated beautifully, and the character creation is a step in the right direction on every front. Whether you're a fan of the first game or not, this is a game worth it. The difficulty has dropped significantly, though it makes this system easier to enter into the series as the Endurance / Health system of PoE 1 had many confused and still leave some explanation desired. Definitely do yourself the favour and play this game and all it has to offer.

An absolute masterpiece of game and character design. Unique and captivating, Darkest Dungeon will be played for years to come, even after its sequel has been released. Its never "too late" to pick up this game if you've never played it, and I can cannot recommend it enough. Do yourself a favour, treat yourself, and pick up this golden nugget of dopamine.

One of the very best RP games out there! Good story, good system, good game overall. Sure, bugs are present, and there are some that they should've fixed long ago. But every game has it's flaws. Can highly recommend!
