S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl

Now that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is proving to be a disappointment for the time being, I want to replay Shadow of Chernobyl, preferably with QoL fixes, improved gameplay, and enhanced graphics. So I ended up with Autumn Aurora 2.1 mod. This mod brings a moody autumn aesthetic to the game. This includes yellow and brown leaves, barren trees, and a melancholic atmosphere that fits perfectly with the setting. The dynamic weather system adds variety to rain, fog, and sunlight, creating a more immersive experience. Enemies and NPCs behave slightly smarter, making combat more dynamic and challenging.

Autumn Aurora 2 is ideal if you’re looking for a visually enhanced and more atmospheric version of Shadow of Chernobyl without significant changes to gameplay or story. It stays true to the core of the game while offering a stunning facelift and improved immersion.

Once you've finished Shadow of Chernobyl and are looking for an even greater challenge, I highly recommend STALKER: Anomaly with G.A.M.M.A. In my opinion, this is the ultimate STALKER experience!
