Early Access Review
Trying really hard to be STALKER Anomaly but it falls flat on its face. World feels EMPTY, and not in a good way. Feedback for when you take damage is nonexsistent, same for when you deal damage. I shouldn't have to wonder "Did I hit that guy or did I miss?" on every shot, which sucks because the guns actually feel good to use.

Then there's the jank. Invisible loot containers, getting stuck on thin air, NPC interact prompts just not working. I got stuck on a piece of terrain and before I had the chance to hit the unstuck button in the pause menu I just.... randomly died? That was the final straw for me. Game has some potential but as it is I'd rather just play STALKER. Which sucks because base building is a feature here I'd like to see in STALKER. It's the reason I even bought this game in the first place. But the rest of the game wasn't enticing enough for me to try and stick it out long enough to try.

Wish the devs the best of luck but this game just isn't for me right now. Maybe one day that will change, but with early access titles it's always hard to tell.

A "modern Assassin's Creed" game done right. Incredible story, absolutely beautiful open world, breathtaking visuals, engaging combat and exploration, this game has it all. Easily the one of the best first party Sony games ever released

Easily the best spent $3 dollars in recent memory (although I was gifted my copy). In fact I loved it so much I bought it for several of my friends. The multiplayer is simple dumb fun and one of the best "party games" I've ever played. Do not skip out on this

Changing this back to a positive review since they caved, but keeping the negative version here too as a reminder of why Sony sucks.

Original Review:

Genuinely the best Co-op game since Left-4-Dead 2. It doesn't disrespect your time or your wallet. This is how you do a live service game. Feature complete at launch, no predatory micro transactions, and earnable premium currency in both gameplay and the free battle pass.

The gameplay is buttery smooth and runs flawlessly. The optimization here is incredible, especially with how much is constantly happening on screen.

Both enemy factions feel incredibly different from each other, so if you don't like fighting one or get tired of them, you can just change to the other faction's missions.

The Edited Version:

The sole job of a publisher is to PROPERLY distribute a developer's game. That's it. Maybe market it for them if they ask. Sony sold the game globally, knowing full well that not every country they were selling the game in would be able to link to a PSN account. There are 195 countries in the world. Helldivers 2 went from buyable globally to unavailable in 177 countries. People who live outside the 69 countries PSN is available in will have no way to play the game that Sony sold to them after this month. All because they wanted to pad PSN member numbers to satisfy the never ending corporate greed of stockholders. I really enjoyed this game, sad to see Sony shoot themselves in the foot again while shooting the devs in the back over this

This is my personal Game of the Year. As of writing it's been less than 36 hours since the game unlocked for me, and I've spent just over 20 of those hours playing Remnant 2. It's that good.

There is so much about this game to enjoy, and it improves upon the first game in every single way. There is way more detail in everything, from enemy and world design, animations, lore, weapon and ability variety, and bosses. Especially the bosses. This game has some of my favorite boss fights in any video game ever, all set to absolutely incredible soundtracks.

But the best part has to be the incredible replayability. There is so much content that you literally cannot experience everything in a single play through. But don't let that discourage you. You're able to re roll every world in a sort of "New Game+" way that allows you to keep all your current gear and abilities while getting to experience anything that might not have happened in your first run through of that world.

In a time where I've found myself very burnt out by other games with a grind/loot emphasis, Remnant 2 offers a very refreshing experience with hundreds of hours of content to enjoy.

Didn't really have fun with this game when I started out due to repair costs being an annoying feature. Found out they're RAISING them in an attempt to milk more money out of players in their "free to play" game and decided to finally leave a review.

Bungie told us we'd get strand during the campaign and we still didn't unlock it until the end. New characters had no reason for us to feel attached. The only fun levels were the first three, and final fights of the last two missions had some of the worst arenas in the franchise (especially on legend difficulty). The big macguffin The Veil is never explained to the player, but everyone in universe knows what it is somehow. Ending was super anticlimactic too.

The new mod and loadout systems suck since a bunch of mods got unnecessary nerfs and 60-70% the old mods were removed.
On top of that, all of the marketing talks about how we are the first to discover this power of strand, yet the very first mission has enemies with strand shields?!?!?!?!?!?!

Runs like ASS on pc, increasingly so in Co-Op. The decision to cut split-screen co-op after extensive marketing for the feature prior to the games launch is also a massive yikes, especially since it influenced my purchasing decision. Will be requesting a refund.

Everything that made Persona 4 Golden good, with most of the tedium removed. Soundtrack is even better
