This game is really arrrr, especially with friends!

No seriously, exploring and hunting for treasure is really fun, especially with regular updates to enrich your gaming experience.

Of course there are buggy messes now and then in such a big game, but you see the devs really care about this game.

Tested all three games with 2 of my friends. All 3 games are really great, but of course will be fun with more people (who are right for this game, lol)

I love presentation games and "Let me finish" feels like a stupid presedential debate, lovin it!

Dirty Drawful just works best with dirty prompts!

Fakin' it is a little boring with 3 players and 2 chances to find the faker, but will be great fun when we play with more. Really love the new remote mode!

Looking forward to a lot more dirty Jackbox Parties with this game!

A really interesting look behind the scenes - not only of HL: Alyx, but Valve as a company.
I really love to see how stories and characters were originally planned and after reading The Final Hours in about 5 hours I can really see that Valve made fantastic choices when creating this game and that the 4-year-development time was totally worth it.

If your interested in early concepts and prototypes and canned Valve projects, give it a read!

If there was an option between "yes" and "no" when asked if I would recommend the game, I would choose something in between, because I have very mixed feelings about this game.

Pros:
+ It's really fun to play with physics and to be able to interact with nearly everything
+ Shooting weapons feels great
+ I like the creepy "Hey!" from the enemies when you approach them, as well as the headsets jumping at you.
+ Speaking of the jumping headsets, it's really fun how it actually works putting your hands up as a reflex when you are being jumped and thus shielding yourself against the enemy
+ Various melee weapons to have fun with
+ Reloading weapons manually instead of with a simple button press like in many other VR Games is surprisingly fun and totally adds to the experience
+ Locomotion is good
+ I like the settings, being a VR destination halfway through development

Cons:
- The biggest con I have with this game: it's really easy to get in a situation, where the game moves your head but you don't move your head in real life, which gets really nauseating really fast. Some examples:
~ The game wants you to explore some tight spaces to get ammo. If you bump your head against the ceiling of such a tight space, it moves your head back, so that you don't clip through solid objects. Sound good on paper, but messes up your brain ingame really badly.
~ The virtual arms in this game were in my way CONSTANTLY. Climbing something sideways is aggrevating, because I try to reach over my other arm, but somehow my arms glitch inside each other, spasming out, also moving my head wildly again, causing me to fall eventually and doing that whole nauseating section again.
~ Jumping and climbing up ledges also pushed my head back and forwards a few times, which didn't make much sense to me, only making me a little more sick.
~ Jumping puzzles also suffer greatly from this. It really makes me not bothering about collectibles at all.
~ It also prevented me from getting creative in this physics based game, for example I couldn't use a plank to cross a gap because it instantly glitched when walking on it, moving my head to all sides

- The main weapons are largely SMGs or Rifles. Wish there were also shotguns or grenade launchers (Or did I just miss them entirely? In this case I guess they should be easier to get!)
- I hated the enemies which just should glowing orbs from their hands at you.
- They voicelines when you are about to die sound odd "I think I'm dying!", but maybe it's some lore thing
- I didn't get that you could survive when your view is fading by killing an enemy, it was never explained. I just found it strange that I always take so long to actually die that I googled if I can still survive, finding out this mechanic.
- In the beginning, you could use a garbage can lid to shield yourself against bullets from a turret. Later in the game I tried the same with way bigger barrels or other items, but the bullets went right through. Was a bit inconsistent.

So yeah, it seems there are more cons then pros, but for me it feels like there are as many pros as cons. If you got no problem with getting your head moved sometimes, it's a really great game. But as the developers said themselves, only play it if you got experience with VR already.

Fun game, you get a ton of content for free. I almost always played it alone, would surely be more fun if you have friends to play with.
Although I don't care for the story and lore that much, it totally filled the "I-need-a-new-ego-shooter-game-to-play"-hole in my mind real good.

It's only a 10 minute game, but it shows the Index Controller's capabilities wonderfully in a short story with classic Portal humour. Great job Cloudhead Games & Valve!
