Writing this review as im about to end the sequel of this game, Trails in the Sky SC.

This game on its own was amazing. It is slower paced than I would've liked but after playing the second game it makes a lot of sense why that is. This is all setup for the second game which is pretty much double in length and content compared to this one.

The world building is absolutely insane with how each NPC changes their dialogue every time the story moves forward. It almost feels like each NPC has their own life which you can follow if you wish to keep up with them. This also reflects to the second game where i'm at right now. Its pretty mind blowing the dedication they put into this aspect.

My main problems would probably be in the combat. Its very bare bones. Arts is WAYY too broken compared to physical. Its an old jrpg so I can't really blame it too much but i'm excited to see how it evolves from this to Trails Through Daybreak as I play these games.

Overall a strong start,story-wise,to the series. Once you reach the ending you will 100% buy the second one so be ready because you're in for the long ride if you get hooked.
