Exploration is rewarding, shooting enemies is fun. Play the game for these things, story is secondary. Great atmosphere. Someone else related it to Half life and i totally agree. I like how most of the bullsht is cut off and just go straight to the action.

Exellent co-op campaign.
Decent multiplayer experience.
LOTS of weapons, especially if you get the DLC. This is also a minus on only buying the game alone. Recommend buying the season pass on sale, really a bang for your buck.

Worth every penny of its price. So cheap, and lots of fun. Very nicely built city and fun cars. As you learn the shortcuts it gets more and more fun. It's open world and you chooses the races as you find them. Really follows your rythm. I personally havent found the music to be so great though, but its not bad either. Fun race game to play, and very easy to get going. It gets more challenging when you get to B and A license.
