Valid criticism but excessively overblown controversy aside, Dragon's Dogma II is a wonderful game just like its woefully underappreciated predecessor and if your PC can handle it well enough, I strongly recommend it - and if it can't, I can strongly recommend the somewhat rough but equally brilliant original!

Actually, you should play the original as well, regardless.

I played this a year ago and I'm still thinking about it.

The love and effort gone into this entirely free game is obvious, with its gorgeous pixel visuals, wonderful music, continued support with huge updates and new modes like Holo House, and countless references and inside jokes--not to mention hours that you can sink into it. It's borderline criminal is what it is.

I don't even like visual novels and Doki Doki Literature Club! has easily become a top contender for game of the year in my book. Yuri is great, but don't be fooled; best girl is obviously Monika. Just Monika.
