Game runs fairly poorly and still has game stopping bugs. Sometimes beam weapons phase slaughter, other times the beam phases through enemies without damage.

Objectives/pickups sometimes break and picking up/engaging obj's does nothing.

Definitely do not buy yet, maybe it will get better, but its not worth it just yet.

This game makes me feel old as ♥♥♥♥. The soundtrack and character design (Tanya with her double pistols) are very explicit references to Command and Conquer, the first game I ever owned (at the age of 5 on a 3rd-hand DOS PC).

It's a nice, small game. It's straight forward enough, and has an appropriate amount of depth, although the gameplay is fairly simple. Price is reasonable.

Used to love SimTower. Wanted very much to love this game.

Main issue for me is that finances don't seem to make any sense. It's either a bug or the information is displayed so poorly that it makes no sense. Hotel related business does not seem to be factored into your actual finance information at the bottom of the screen. The +/- per day information is just straight up wrong most of the time. Says I'll be in the green, but come the next day I'm deep in the red.

Perhaps one of the most well crafted indie game I've had the pleasure of playing.

I didn't buy this on release sadly, though it interested me even then. When i finally got around to picking this game up during a steam sale, I realised how much I had missed. Bastion is a perfect example of artistic expression in video games. The narration is so unique and well read, and it adapts to every little thing you do in game. The art style is straight forward and not overly flashy or complicated. The game play is perhaps the lowest point of all, but even then, it does the job, but some may find it repetitive and boring after a while, though I did not. The story was superb, and the soundtrack was absolutely brilliant. The way that all these things tie in together creates an incredible ride, and tells the story beautifully.

This game is an example of getting all the little things right. From story, to art, to unique narration and game play, to characters and incredibly well done scenes and events that you'll remember for years, I would highly recommend.

If you like games like Theme Hospital, you'll most likely like this. Game is still in Alpha, however on average there is a big update monthly that introduces new mechanics or content, enough to keep you interested for a long time, and changes the way you think about your prison. Game is worth buying and playing, and will be a solid investment when it finally comes out of Alpha.

Introversion software are also good at communicating with fans, and are realistic about thinking about their games, and listen to feedback very well, I'm starting to think they hate parts of the game more than players do.
