Borderlands 2 would have been one of the easiest recommendations for you looter shooter lovers.
But recently, Take-Two decided to implement a new EULA that is essentially SPYWARE. Excuse me but my private info is not your business. You hear that, Strauss ? You too, Randy ?
Absolutely avoid any game from T2 or 2K Games until this scummy stuff is purged. Sheer bloody hubris.

Ubisoft can at least have the basic decency of giving the game an Offline mode or let the community host servers. But it seems that this company has extremely out of touch individuals in high positions. This was pretty much cemented with that one exec who said that people should get used to NOT ACTUALLY OWNING THE GAME THEY SPENT MONEY ON. As if they're books you borrow from the library and return before a certain date. Laughable, to say the least.

Meanwhile Test Drive Unlimited 2 can still be played online thx to mods like TDU World, TDUniverse and Project Paradise 2. Just pointing this out.

Edit: Yeah, T.C 1 is officially dead. Not even an Offline Mode. Ubisoft truly love breaking laws, I guess.
Farewell, The Crew. It was fun while it lasted.

Now hear me out. The game is absolutely incredible. I love it.
But why is the review negative then ??
Well Capcom decided it would be a brilliant idea to fight mods by updating their games(quietly, I might add) with this garbage russian DRM called Enigma to combat cheats and mods while pretending to have the moral high ground.
No, Capcom, you do not. This is such a god-awful anti-consumer move that it's straight up insulting. Rockstar tried the same thing and failed. This negative review will stay until you remove this disgusting, framerate-tanking russian malware. We do not want DRM, we did NOT ask for DRM. You tanked not only the game performance but also respect from your own community. Such a shame.

Honestly, I would've recommended this game in a heartbeat.
Until the whole thing with Mick Gordon surfaced. And to say I'm disgusted by id Software, Zenimax and Bethesda is a huge understatement.
Now say what you want about me not recommending this game despite how good it is, but until Mick gets some much deserved justice, it is what it is. It's one thing to be incompetent as a manager. But to also be abusive and a scummy liar on top of it because you're desperate to protect your good image(right, Marty?)... that's low. Really low.
Justice for Mick Gordon !

This game certainly feels unique.
I enjoyed it. A lot. Even went as far as finishing it on Village of Shadows.
R.E Village is a lot of fun. Definitely one of the best games of 2021. And I highly recommend it.

40 minutes in a friggin' queue.
What can I say ? Another "masterpiece" from Amazon Games, who apparently are beyond incompetent. I mean with games like Crucible and New World under their belt, yyyeah.
Also, if you thought diversity and political correctness was something you needed(just in case you're a muppet), worry not. Amazon instead of offering a smooth launch and a translation from KR to EN, they went out of their way to uglify and mutilate the game for the sake of diversity and political correctness by changing character designs and forcing lots of censorship only a Twitter puritan would accept. Not a normal person with a functioning, healthy brain.
Who asked for this ? Nobody. Taking a game like Lost Ark and mutilating it like this(I wonder if this even received approval from Smilegate) shows what kind of publisher Amazon Games is.
Oh well. Will have to watch out for any games published by Amazon Games in the future. Crucible, New World and now they couldn't even offer a simple translation job and a smooth launch for Lost Ark. Truly depressing.

Short and on point:
-The Nemesis is actually scarier and more fun to go against here than he ever was in the R.E 3 Remake. His perks are good. Hysteria is good for potential spooks.
-Leon's perks are good. Bite the Bullet is a must have for stealthy players. Flashbang... great. Rookie Spirit is pretty good if you wanna focus on gens and keep them from regressing.
-Jill's perks are good. Counterforce is great for totem hunting and you break 'em faster for each totem already broken. Resurgence shortens healing time after getting unhooked substantially, so up to you if you think this is useful or not. And Blast Mine is good for annoying the Killer.

Also, don't buy the purple outfits for either Jill or Leon just yet. They're "One-Piece", which means you have to buy 'em as a full set. The head pieces are the exact same, which would make you pay for something you already have. Wait until Behavior maybe takes this feedback into consideration and reduces their cost to 700 or 750.

That would be it. I do recommend this DLC. But again, just ignore those one-piece purple outfits until Behavior maybe drop their price to 700 or 750, even if you're a collector. The Legendary skins that allow you to play as Chris "Boulder Puncher" Redfield and Claire(so Leon can continue the Redfield bloodline) are a better choice.

Early Access Review
Well this game was a super pleasant surprise, I can say that much.
Remember ''A Haunting'' ? That TV show that used to air every Friday night on Discovery Channel, talking about hauntings that supposedly happened in real life and doing a terrifyingly good job at recreating said hauntings ?
Well imagine that show... but in the form of a video game that you can play with 3 more friends. You don't watch other paranormal investigators try to solve the hauntings... you and your friends are THE investigators here, getting close and personal with the ghosts, which range from Spirits to friggin' Demons. And dare I say, it's as terrifying as it sounds. Sure, it's a bit janky here and there. But for what it offers so far... dare I say that Phasmophobia is a must own.

Oh, did I forget to mention that this game was done by one person ? Yeah. More reason to support this game and give it the love it deserves.

Slight edit: Almost 190 hours later and the game is still very enjoyable. Hopefully it'll be the same for you. Especially since it'll keep getting maps. Maybe... even new ghosts.

Well, here's my honest review.
First, let's start with Jane and her thicc booty by discussing her perks:
-Head On is her best perk, by far. If you stay in a locker for 3 seconds, next time you rush out of it, you'll stun the Killer for a few seconds. Just like Dead Hard or Sprint Burst, it has a cooldown of 60 seconds at best. So be sure to use it in case the Killer has your attention.
-Poised is good if you're the stealthy kind of player. After a gen is fixed, you'll leave no scratch marks for 10 seconds, which is great for distracting the Killer. If you wanna be loud and obnoxious, this isn't for you.
-Solidarity is rather situational. While healing a Survivor without a Med-kit, up to 50% of the healing conversion rate is applied to you. Sort of great if you're the field medic, so to speak. Especially if you use Botany Knowledge.
So yeah, she's worth it. Her perks are decent.

Now, The Plague(also known as Adiris, Sicky or Vommy Mommy)
Her design is amazing. Her story is great and you even feel bad for her. Her ability is Vile Purge. After charging it up for a long time, you vomit in a direction. If objects are touched by the stream of vomit(lockers, generators, pallets and vault points), they become infected for a base duration of 35 seconds. Great in case Survivors don't wanna get sick, buying you precious seconds. If a Survivor gets infected by either touching an infected object or if The Plague herself vomits on a Survivor, they'll get sick and start coughing, making them a bit easier to track. If they get too infected, they'll become injured and Broken, puking from time to time and coughing. They can cleanse at one of the fountains spread around the map, bringing them back to Healthy state. However, this comes at a cost. If The Plague consumes that fountain, her vomit becomes deadly for 60 seconds, injuring Survivors instead of infecting them.
And this is the problem. There's no real risk when Broken. You can still keep her busy while the others work on gens. Even if you die, at least gens will be done. Why ? Because good players know that giving her Corrupt Purge is scary. So they would rather not cleanse. I'll give a simple suggestion on how she can become a lot scarier to go against after I talk about her perks:
-Corrupt Intervention is a great anti-gen perk that blocks 3 gens farthest from her, for up to 2 minutes. This is a great perk to use in order to prevent Survivors from getting those gens too fast at the start of a trial.
-Infectious Fright is excellent for tracking Survivors in your area while preventing flashlight saves. If you down a Survivor, the other Survivors within your Terror Radius will scream, revealing their positions.
-Dark Devotion is great mainly for stealthy builds. If you smack the Obsession, the other Survivors will hear her Terror Radius as if she is right behind them, for 30 seconds. It's excellent on a Killer like The Hag or Freddy who can teleport around the map, in order to ambush Survivors.

Now the suggestion in order to make The Plague a lot scarier to go against:
-If a Broken Survivor doesn't cleanse within 2 minutes, they'll die for good. This will convince Survivors to cleanse more often and make The Plague much stronger, not to mention scarier.

Overall, this is a really good DLC. Jane looks really nice, especially her perks. The Plague however, at least right now, is a bit on the weaker side. She becomes really powerful when she gets her Corrupt Purge, but due to the fact that not everyone will cleanse(especially at higher ranks), she becomes rather mediocre. Because again, you can just stay Broken for the whole match because there are barely any risks besides being 1 shot for the whole game, denying her the opportunity to use Corrupt Purge, therefore massively diminishing her power. But if you're the kind of person that doesn't care about high ranks, get this DLC. Sicky really needs some love.

Well, I shall be honest.
Ghostface is a really fun to play Killer, especially with his high jumpscare potential, just like Myers. His ability, Night Shroud, is one of the best stealth abilities in the game, almost as good as Myers with the Scratched Mirror. You can have zero terror radius and be able to stalk Survivors(either the usual way or by leaning from a corner) in order to get them Exposed, making them one shot for a good period of time. 45 seconds, to be exact. All these, as long as he is not revealed, either by a Survivor looking at him for too long or by him missing an attack or getting stunned. Also, he's the only Killer who can properly T-bag. So if you feel like humiliating an entitled Survivor who annoyed you for most of the match, there you go.
His perks though... are a mixed bag.
-Thrilling Tremors is by far his best ability, allowing him to see if Survivors are working on gens or not while the other ones remain blocked for 16 seconds. May have a cooldown of 60 seconds at best, but it really helps with tracking down Survivors working on gens and buys you precious seconds. A really good anti-gen and tracking perk.
-Furtive Chase is pretty pointless. You can get up to 4 tokens that reduce your Terror Radius IN A CHASE by 4 meters every time you hook the obsession. Whoever unhooks the Obsession, becomes the Obsession. Pretty pointless, unless you play Scratched Mirror Myers or try to do a No Terror Radius build for spooky memes.
-I'm All Ears reveals the auras of Survivors that perform a rushed action within 48 meters, for 6 seconds. That sounds good, since it could help you with tracking. But who thought that giving this skill a cooldown was a good idea ? Yes, a cooldown. And the lowest you can get the cooldown is 40 seconds, which for me is just dumb. No wonder I almost never see this perk used, unless people are doing Adept Ghostface or have nothing better to choose. Unless Behavior remove the cooldown completely since not a lot of people will perform rushed actions anyway, it may become a bit more viable.

Overall, Ghostface is a really good Killer, if you play him right. Taking full advantage of Night Shroud is essential, since it helps you get closer to Survivors or have them be 1 shots for a good period of time if stalked long enough. But without it, he's a basic M1 Killer. And at high ranks, he will have trouble. Not to mention that he's pretty heavily reliant on add-ons, especially those that help him stalk faster and get Night Shroud faster since it has a cooldown of 30 seconds. Also, he is very map-reliant. Open and bright maps like Azarov, Coldwind or Crotus Prenn are his worst nightmare since he won't be able to properly sneak close to Survivors, risks getting revealed much easier and his scare factor is destroyed. However, smaller and darker maps like The Game, Midwich, Lerry's and even the new Badham Preschool ones... are where he truly shines. Dare I say he will be scary to go against on the visually updated Badham Preschool maps, just like Myers. So if you just wanna have fun spooking people, Ghostface is for you.
