It's the same buggy Oblivion I know and love, but now without a broken leveling system and graphics that look just how it did in my childhood mind. Everything about this remaster is an example how you can bring an old classic into the modern era (including minor gameplay tweaks) without it feeling like the original experience is missing from its DNA.

The only complaints for me so far are the optimization. The game does seem to struggle on mid to lower spec machines. If you don't have at least a 40 series video card, expect your settings to be lower than "high".

That being said, I have found that even on lowered graphical settings, the game is gorgeous. The lighting and normal maps have transformed many harsh solid color environments into a screenshots that could easily serve as a wallpaper. Character customization on its own is miles above the original and the remaster boasts broader options for customization. Seriously, look at a side by side of both games.

If you have fond memories of the original game like me, then I recommend you close shut the jaws of Oblivion one more time.

Thought I would mainly play this for the fun looking gameplay, but the story is really well done and pulled me in. Worth playing if you get the chance

Visual and gameplay improvements from the first game, very fun.

Cons:
I run most games pretty well, but this one can chug and frames drop in busy areas.
