Update: They finally fixed the RAM usage in season 2 with the experimental shader compilation mode!! Hooray!

---

Bad:
- Sound design is bugged:
- voice lines for ults don't happen sometimes
- localization for sounds like a placed ankh is messed up
- overall not as good as overwatch's sound design (which is S tier anyway)
- Garbage performance Update: They finally fixed this in season 2 with the experimental shader compilation mode!! hooray!
- Requires at least 16GB of RAM, if you close out every other program, or you will get stutters every few seconds making the game practically unplayable.
- Invite/request to join is terrible, you get no notifications whatsoever if in a match or at the end of a match.
- Toxic players that always blame others, but I guess this isn't new

Good:
- No role limits (though players still complain anyways)
- Lots of vertical mobility
- Lots of melee characters

funny how they kinda listen only after competition starts eating 'em up. Tho it's mostly just pushing stuff they already had for the axed PvE into pvp it seems. Idk if they're ever gonna get back to their former glory as they still seem to insist on DEI and stuff.

Also how did they manage to make the loot box opening experience feel half-baked sheesh, OW2 continues to be a downgrade to the original Overwatch.

One of the few things this game gets right is the sound design (albeit it got slightly butchered in OW2, but mostly remained very good). No other game has good sound design like this one does - I feel blind if I'm not wearing earbuds or headphones in this game. If anything, that's one of the disappointments I have with Marvel Rivals, the sound design is not nearly as good as it is here.

A considerable learning curve compared to other emulators I've used - you need to lookup default bindings, the menu definitely favors controller over PC, and for some reason I haven't figured out how to play 'recently opened' games or something - but the cores as DLCs makes it easy to manage fortunately.

Besides Runner2, this is the best Runner game I have played. All of the quality of life details are there that I missed from the original Runner, and with community content, mmm yes, this game is one of the few I definitely recommend getting for the ultimate BIT.TRIP Runner experience.

Probably the only game I know of that's entirely multiplayer with asymmetrical teams. I wish I knew about this game sooner, and I'm glad to see it's still fresh with new stuff even for a latecomer like me

So far so good, it expands upon the first game well instead of being alien to it. And yes this review is for the steam awards cuz I usually review stuff when I'm done but dis game iz very gud. If too pricey - get the first, it goes on sale for $1 quite often. Lots of references to the first, but portrayed in a way that doesn't make total nonsense in the second.

FPS genre meets Mirror's Edge but you also get a mech too.

Heccin amazing, definitely feels good just needs some more objective-based gamemodes IMO. Multiplayer is mostly deathmatch, (my least favorite mode, and probably the only mode that can get me tilted) at least when playing with randoms - not much of a team element like other games with roles. I guess that's more of the "classic" FPS sort of stuff. There is a bit of "roles" once you get your titan, but if ur a noob like me it most likely is gonna die pretty quickly.

Oh, and the singleplayer campaign? It gets good very quickly. Effects are well done and portray feeling like a movie.

Btw I played this during free to play weekend, I left it open on Monday so I could finish the campaign so no not all of those 35 hours are spent playing lol.
