I have played a ton and it has been some of the best experiences I've had in a game. However, it is always online and always with other players which has caused some of if not the most frustrating experiences I've had. No Passive mode or single player content. So if you are wanting to just enjoy the game and sail the seas i advise against purchasing. I know it's part of the game but as a person who doesn't care for PvP and then getting forced to be jumped by a 4-man squad while your solo is not fun nor just spawning and having people just kill you and sink you just because your there. Not that there aren't nice people that team up and have a great time, there are but they are far too sparse most likely due to the atmosphere of the game being so hostile. I wish Steam had more then a Yes or No because I feel a "No" doesn't fit my experience but i for sure would not recommend it generally speaking until there was some way to enjoy content solo without dealing with all the others
