Atelier Firis is a different approach to the original Mysterious trilogy. It had a time limit, which isn't present in the other games. It didn't focus on a particular mysterious object, but instead what is mysterious is the world in Firis' eyes. It experimented with a larger world than any previous entry. The means of mastering alchemy is odd to say the least. It was extremely ambitious. They took a lot of risks with Firis' design and it failed in a lot of regards in the eyes of the fans.
However, I love Atelier Firis. I originally played this game on PS4 and fell in love with the world and Firis as a character. Firis is by far my favorite alchemist in the entire series. The different means of exploring the world just made it feel so unique as an entry. Do I think Atelier Firis is the best game in the franchise? No. But it's a game I keep coming back to for more because of how much there is to do in it and for Firis. For me this is exactly what I want from an Atelier.

Good game but lots of crashes and bugs. 5 crashes in about 10 hours and several times I had to restart a stage to find missing shards that should have been there. Certain stages will not highlight shards that require multiple steps to reach.

I wish there was a mixed option for games like this. I very much enjoyed this game, but there were a lot of things I wish were improved. It is extremely buggy. In my ~22 hour playthrough I had issues with the audio cutting in and out, monsters were prone to landing on your team's heads and you couldn't attack them, getting stuck on nothing, awakening skills not activating, the camera shaking back and forth quickly, and cutscenes looping. And these were all extremely common occurrences. There is a severe lack of new quests when you get to the higher guild ranks. In the late ranks you will fight nothing but the same 6 bosses over and over again with higher HP but the same defense and attack stats. However, this game had me engaged throughout the entire story and up until guild rank 7 the gameplay was enjoyable.

Probably the best game in the genre. Great combat, unique story, and amazing characters. Everything is grindable. No P2W features, honestly the only thing worth buying is the battle pass.

Also Don Quixote is the best.

Nice nonogram game. I like the new additions for this title that weren't present in their Story of Seasons game, where the farm and characters are customizable. Visually I'd say it is about the same quality as the Story of Seasons game, if not a bit below it. There are marriage options present in this game from Rune Factory titles, as well as a new gamemode. I'm not personally the biggest fan of the new gamemode, but it is a nice addition nonetheless.

I'm here to update my previous review to positive. Since the time of the original review the devs have shown the community that they are listening and are willing to make changes to the game. The previous performance issues I was having on launch seem to have been fixed, the gacha rates are being increased, and players that spent currency in the game are all having it refunded.
The story itself is okay, not quite on par with Danganronpa or Master Detective Archives, but it is worth giving a shot if you are a fan of TooKyo Game's work. The pixel sprites and overworld are cute, but the exploration can get kind of repetitive. Overall, the game is okay. I'm sure the story will get a bit more engaging as it goes on. If you're up in the air about giving it a shot I would suggest trying the game out. The first chapter will be a pretty good indicator of whether the game is for you.

This is the reason why LiS: Double Exposure didn't sell. Pure greed. Achievements are tied to the Ultimate version of the game and you don't even get the deluxe skins like you would if you bought the actual Ultimate edition of the game. With the "upgrade" you get about 3 minutes of the exclusive cat content they just threw in to lock players out of achievements with that should have just been in the game to begin with.

This is a game with a lot of issues. The support team is awful, there are many bugs, and the community on both sides can be toxic. However, it is also unique. There are few competitive games on the market like it and it's fun to play with friends. Not labor of love worthy right now, but it did start that way. With some fixes and better support it could be a pretty good game.

Gris is a game that is thematically about the stages of grief. You play as a character who is battling with her emotions to move past her trauma, as you traverse each stage of grief to regain colors in her world. However, as beautiful as the music and art may be the game just feels shallow. There is no dialogue, no narration, no gameplay other than basic platforming, no background behind our character. This game ultimately just reminds me a lot of a flipbook. You have no connection to the character or world. It is so overly abstract you have to dig to find any real meaning behind it, and in a game that has no gameplay to it it just feels boring.
