As a writer, Elden Ring is a modern masterpiece, even today with major releases that are stronger than ever. More games seem to take on the pseudo-genre of souls-like but never really capture well... the soul of Dark Souls. Releasing in 2011 the game stands the test of time, remaining a work of genius with unrivaled mechanics and stunning visuals. Even better is the superb storytelling and wonderous writing featuring inspiring interconnectivity that is unbelievably unparalleled. The world was hand crafted by the savants at FromSoft, a publisher I would buy used toilet paper from they are so good, Lordran is some of their best work to date. The map design is master-craft with no crevice overlooked, it's the model of perfection and gamers still have yet to see anything else quite like it. Some don't see it at all because of the difficulty which turns so many gamers away but that makes the combat system the most satisfying known to gamers and gaming. It's so difficult it would turn even the most pathetic incel into a Christian chad! With that difficulty comes some of the most iconic boss fights in gaming (not to mention the rock solid waifus, lookin' at you Queelag). As you are trapped in a life or death struggle against the bosses of Lordran you can feel the passion of the developers have for their game, encapsulating their blood sweat and tears with masterful theming and some of the most unique character designs to come out of gaming. To the player one of the best feelings in the game has to be standing triumphant over a boss you threw yourself at over and over again. It's such a privilege to watch your character progress, it really makes you feel like a dark soul.

Even renowned novelist H.P. Lovecraft and the late Ghandi have praised Dark Souls for its vastly superior technical prowess, character design and story telling. It was and still is a groundbreaking and innovative game that gamers everywhere absolutely MUST play. Not to mention haunting the musical score which made me YEET my pants. Simply put Dark Souls is G.O.A.T all year every year as an unparalleled gaming experience that has spawned its own genre and inspired so many story writers such as myself. After all, what do we say about the Mona Lisa in 2019? Still a masterpiece? Every game developer needs to take a page fromElden Ring book, maybe even a chapter, ♥♥♥♥ it, the whole book!

Really ghood if you have friends to enjoy playing it with. Heavily Jason-sided but isn't that what made the movies fun and tense? yea it makes this game fun and tense too

This game is everything the first one was, I love it just as much as I did before. I put a hundred or so hours into the first, and despite wanting to see some small changes like larger level varation just so they don't feel so familiar each time, some older items back and hopefully some new unique items.

This game is so great, please get it and support the developers, they deserve it!

on the bright side though you can spend $35 to save yourself the time of installing Shaders on minecraft.
