Warning to anybody who wants to buy Pathologic 2, this game is incredibly challenging. It does not pull any punches and does not hold your hand. You are constantly beset by armed enemies, battling infection within plague districts, choosing who should live and die, all while running against the clock. At times, you will be pushed to your absolute limits. To call this game "emotionally straining" would be an understatement.

In the face of all of this, if you still feel prepared to take on Death itself in Pathologic 2 you will be rewarded with what I feel is one of the most chilling, impactful, and somber stories of an age. You will be emotionally invested in the lives of the townsfolk and philosophically challenged by their values and beliefs.

While I am desperately relieved to have finished this game, I do not regret a single moment I spent playing it. 10/10

This is not a functioning VR game. This is Bethesda charging you full price for an unstable version of Fallout 4 that has the ability to be modded into one of the best first person VR shooters out there at this time. The game is basically unplayable from launch and will require heavy modification of its game files before it is at a decent standard of play-ability. If this had been a five dollar DLC that Bethesda offered, it would have been incredibly well-received and a fantastic move on Bethesda's part. However, the fact that they are charging you full price for a broken repackaging of a game with a windows reality camera slapped onto the character model is a disgusting, GTA Remastered level of shady business practice and will only hurt fans opinion of an otherwise highly celebrated game company. Only buy this game if it's on sale.

I'll be leaving my recommendation as a no until the price has been adjusted to a more reasonable amount. That being said, those with the patience and wherewithal to go through all the modding necessary to play will be rewarded with one the greatest VR experiences out there as of writing this review.

You can't just slap a Windows Reality camera on the front of a character model in a AAA game, advertise that game as "Virtual Reality", sell it for full price, and expect your customers to do hours of fixing and modding to get your cheap port to a baseline of playability. It's greedy, it's misleading, and it's very obvious how little effort Bethesda put into this VR port. Vanilla settings/textures are blurry and awful, the interactions are very flat and the melee weapons have no collison, the player has no body or hand models, and there are frequent crashes.

Is the game worth playing after modding/fixing? Yes, totally. It is one of the best VR games out there when treated with the appropriate amount of care.

Should the people who payed full price for a functioning game have to be the ones to mod/fix it? No.

Fix your game and stop scamming people Bethesda.

One of the best VR games available as of April 2018.

Graphics are some of the cleanest and detailed I've seen yet making it increibly immersive.

The physics work beautifully making interacting with the world and objects satisfying and easy.

The gun aims accuratly and shooting/reloading is very fluid and fun.

The story, while unnecessary, is super enjoyable and the different endings make replaying the game worth it.

Sound is high quality and immersive.

Haven' t had any errors or issues related to calibration or lag running it on the HTC Vive.

Overall, the game is excellent and $20 dollars is a great price range. On sale it would be a steal. If you enjoy getting the achievements, it will take you a significant amount of time to play through this game and thankfully the mechanics have yet to get old.

Fantastic job on the game Stress Level Zero crew. Looking forward to buying your next title. Or Hover Junkers if it ever goes on sale.
