First person pirate game from rare. It does have it's hard moments. Thankfully death really isn't that bad.. you can try to see if a mate can res you or you get taken to a ghost ship to wait for a 20 second respawn timer. If your ship is lost you can get it back with a helpful mermaid. Has a flintlock, blunderbuss, and a early version of a sniper, plus your sword. Ships have cannons with multiple shot types, harpoons, etc. Plenty of playful pets.

Early Access Review
Really cool update of classic half life. With a massive xen update coming soon, it's not over yet.

Note: Currently running a heavily modded game.
Starts off slow but once you get the ball rolling, it's a game you don't want to put down. With the workshop items coming out, the possibility is nearly endless.

It's been a long, long time.. this game is incomplete. The last movie DLC wasn't added and it doesn't look like it'll ever be at this point. If you want a lego tolkien game, get lego lord of the rings. At least that has all the movies.

(Heavily modded game)
The good:
The game is open ended in such a way that you can be good or bad.
The setting is interesting.
A lot of the NPCs and groups you can interact with are interesting.
You can gamble.
A lot of the weapons have that futuristic but old west feel to them.

The bad:
Having a issue where the music skips constantally unless I have a certain codec pack running with it.
As a female character your interaction with the legion is basic at best.

Overall:
Mod the game as you like and sink many, many, many hours into it.

It's a cookie clicker game with half naked animu monster girls that you're trying to defeat RPG style. You can hire other animu girls to autoattack. You don't have to pay a dime, unless you want a static girl to the side to wear a bikini or something. What a time to be alive.

This is a very simple shooter all done in clay. It really reminds me of the neverhood in that there's abstract shapes and everything is not super smooth. 5 weapon icons, including a 4 way shot. (Weak but can hit multiple enemies at once), rapid fire shot (my favorite. Doesn't have a scatter effect but does take down enemies quick), a wave (can hit multiple enemies at once but kinda weak.) a rocket (much better if you have the sidearms too. They scatter and it can be tough to hit enemies), and a laser. (Also passes through enemies. Pretty strong, but rare.) You can pick up two sidearms to triple your firing power of whatever weapon you have active, and there's a 2x score multiplier. You get additional ships fairly easily in game, but it's one hit and you're destroyed. This is not a bullethell shooter, and even if you've played games like tyrian 2000, you'll probably find this one on the fairly easy side.

Pros:
1: Very cool artstyle.
2: I like some of the effects. Level 1 has a long train boss for you to destroy. Level 3 has a volcano that rains rocks and coins. Level 4 is a polluted city.
3: The music. I can identify the level 1 music as a commodore 64 remix of Comic Bakery with a splash of Jurassic Park NES level 1 music.
4: Picking up same colored powerup icons extends the time you can use the weapon.

Cons:
1: When you die if you have anything special like the sidearms, you lose them. This can make things like the bosses challenging when you're given sidearms and rockets to shoot the boss with.
2: No real upgrade system to speak of, or even a in game shop of any kind. Once the time runs out, you lose your special weapon

It's worth picking up if it's on sale.

This is the kind of game you play for 10 minutes to get some research/construction going, and you come back to it in a few hours to do it again.. unless you pay real money.

Quests sometimes give you extra resources and access to some of these pay options for free.

Once you get a mentor and join a clan, it's easy to get overwhelmed with resources at the start.

Otherwise.. it's free. It's a very simple RTS. Nothing too complicated here.

Duke's been changed a bit to wear sunglasses, there's duke's mugshot on the right of the screen during gameplay, and the "this is not shareware" screen has been replaced with a "we introduce a classic dos game. Watch out for more - interceptor" screen. Other then that it's the same old dos duke nukem 2, running in dosbox.

I thought for sure picking this up they were going to replace the "I'M BACK" voice in the intro with the current voice actor for duke, Jon St. John, but nope! It's good old Joe Siegler still.

Maybe my memories are a bit fuzzy but it seems a tad faster and a bit easier as well.. but maybe that's just me.

Interesting game set in the marvel universe. Sadly the best superhero game I've played. Almost every single character you can imagine is in here and playable, but a lot of them feel same-y. There's a lot of "big" characters for example that don't have their own unique abilities. You'll notice this a lot for a bunch of characters. Also I know how to fly, but timed air races are annoying because of how stingy the timer is. It's hard to explain but mastering flying in this game will take some work. There's a race against silver surfer that's darn near impossible. I've tried it with every flying character I have and silver surfer just bolts ahead and that's it, and the flying is so finicky that accelerating is damn near impossible, not to mention you have to fly through the gates too. Maybe this'll be patch fixed though.
