I bade it so

I sat there on the cliff, overlooking the sea. As I beheld the vast depth that lay before me, I rose to my feet. Standing on the edge, I bade the winds to blow against my face, and so it did. Then I bade the skies to be veiled behind a wall of clouds, and so it was. Then I bade the heavens to sing, and so the heavens rang with the sound of a thousand voices singing in unison. And when I bade the seas to rise, I heard a thunderous sound. Then I called, "Rise!" and the sea shot up into the heavens. Towering above, it reached the clouds that lay above. The spiraling tower of water that stood before me expelled droplets of water, which shot out in all directions. Then I bade the heavens to open to reveal the sun, and so it did. As it did so, the light from the sun began reflecting off the water, creating a splendorous array of light that surrounded the tower. And it was beautiful. Then, with a thunderous tone in my own voice, I bade it all to cease. Then the sea came crashing down, falling back into its natural place. And the chorus that rang from the heavens fell silent once more. And the winds were calm, as they should be. And I stood, enamored by the beauty of it all. And then, I turned around and left, without ever looking back.
