Early Access Review
"Be UIUseful, not UIUseless!" - Unusual Incidents Unit.

SCP: 5K (previously, SCP: Pandemic) is a tactical shooter, with an intended four player co-op mechanic but servers usually hold more than their fair share of people. This is a perfect blend between Ready or Not, GTFO, and SCP. You take on the role of organized governments during the SCP-5000 canon universe, where the SCP Foundation rather than protecting the world is aiming to subvert and eliminate those it had once sworn to protect.

The game is in early access, which can be a good or bad thing. There are known bugs, but this game is exactly what the SCPverse needed. It is solid, and with future updates this could be an impressive tactical shooter with horror elements that it is aiming out to be. The aesthetic of the game is awesome and immersive from both enviroment and the UI. At the moment, the game is stepping in the right direction with no pay to play model and a skill-based combat system that feels almost that of Insurgency: Sandstorm.

The community is very kind, and interacting with players on public server is like stepping back to the old day's of source TDM servers. There is a player-vs-player mode and a co-operative player vs environment mode where you and a tactical team are engaged with SCP Foundation personnel and anomalous entities inside of a site facility. If there are more maps like Area 12 to come, and more improvements to the sandbox and gun-play than this could easily become a replayable and enjoyable tactical shooter and find itself a niche among other horror shooter giants like S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Metro, or GTFO.

Nearly every aspect of this game has passion, the development team behind SCP: 5k clearly has a vision for the game and supporting it while it is in early access is both rewarding and promising as you know that the future updates to the game will be in alignment with what fans of the SCP Community can consider fitting. There is clear inspiration from tactical FPS's like Squad and Ready or Not, but it still retains the horror element that is to be expected within the SCP community.

The game is challenging in the best possible way and the gun mechanics feel very good. The gun diversity and modding system in its earliest form is still very expansive and the optics for weapons are tuned very well. SCP: 5k is an intense horror shooter, and it is absolutely worth checking out.

Halo: Infinite is the worst halo yet.

Halo: Infinite is a shadow of what Halo once used to be. 343i and the developers for the game
have spent years crafting what is arguably the worst Halo entry in the franchise. The campaign is a generic story using the halo title, that attempts to close the loose ends that were established by the previous entries and doesn't do a good job even with what it has to work with.

I wish we lived in the timeline where the halo campaign and multiplayer in the latest halo entry was worth an hour of your time, but the game launched with an unrewarding system, buggy mechanics, generic and boring maps, horrible gun sandbox, relatively pretty graphics, but irrelevant design choices that have made what was suppose to be a Halo game, into a generic science-fiction shooter that resembles Section 8 more than it does Bungie's vision. This game launched with five maps, and BTB had three maps. To the people who were insanely upset back when 343i launched Halo 4 with 10 maps, I bet you're unhappy.

This game has become dense. There is no coherent ranked structure, I was able to achieve level 100 in Season 1, and top the charts at Onyx ELO only for it to be the least rewarding grind of my life. This game has taken months to introduce new weapons, months to introduce mechanics that were there on launch in Halo: Reach.

Halo: Infinite, and the Halo IP in general is flailing for life and is no where near as fun as it could have been. Every single decision made at a corporate level feels like it was chosen with the idea that it should continue to kill this game. There is nothing redeeming about Halo: Infinite for halo fans.

Fictional Games is a promising studio that creating a long line of wonderous games. Penumbra was amazing, Amnesia was absolutely perfect and captured the essence of horror. FG continues to push the waves along with SOMA.

Recommended heavily to those who enjoy horror gaming as much as I do.
