this game is currently on sale and people are buying it only to find out that half of the games functionality no longer works because they silently shut down the servers

update: its a steam problem, switching to the steam client beta fixes it

lacks basic moderation, has an over abundance of homophobic and hypocritical ragebaiters, locks 18+ servers and verification behind a paywall which often compromises child safety, has no safe guards for hiding 18+ avatars which allows minors to view pornographic avatars and stickers.

aside from those irredeemable qualities vrchat is also one of the worst optimized games ive ever played, i can run half life alyx at 2500p per eye at high settings without a hitch, but vrchat often dips and stays at the 25 fps mark at the lowest settings, this is because the game is locked into a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ version of unity which only makes good use of single core performance, there is a fix which would be switching to the multi thread optimized version of unity but that would likely break compatibility with a lot of the community created content. so this game is poorly optimized and its locked to that state.

this game isnt worth your time or money.

I love the level design and the story up until the end but not how it ends. I know there's gonna be a sequel but this one ends too abruptly. you don't even know whats happened until after the credits which is weird.

edit after replaying: this mod still ends weird and the whole ending sequence still feels unpolished, the voice lines randomly overlap and cut akwardly, but aside from that everything from the level design to the aesthetics of the game is basically perfect, the puzzles are very readable without being too easy and this mod in particular looks a lot better than any other mods available on steam, the story is also pretty good up until the ending, i love the dynamic between both cores and the lore between them

When you can beat game in 100 mins, its usually not good, it would be awesome if we got to see what happened after glados found us.

this one is one of the easier portal mods, but the gels make it very enjoyable, also, a lot of the chambers can be very easily cheated which adds to them tbh lol

edit after replaying: this mod is reallly easy and if you know any basic speedrun movement, you can skip a majority of the puzzels, but i like that part of this mod, being able to find my own unique solution for each chamber gives this mod a lot of charm for me

some people say this mechanic is buggy but the only issues ive had are with auto jump and simply using the quick save and load feature mitigates a lot of the anger you would face from the auto jump not working, but even then the mod does notify you that the auto jumping doesnt always work earlier in the mod

there don't seem to be much chambers, but all the chambers are somewhat challenging (especially in advanced/original mode), also in this mod the story flows a lot better than other portal 2 mods

edit after replaying: this mod has probably the most polished story of any portal mod, just above portal revolution which had a really abrupt ending, this mod is also really hard in the advanced mode, definitely some of the hardest chambers ive ever played

it's a little hard because of the differences in the time lines and rules between each of them but its nice :)

edit after replaying: this mod has basically no story in comparision to the other mods, this mod is 99% puzzles which is somewhat refreshing i admit, the chambers are slightly easier than the portal stories mel advanced chambers just because of how unconventional the time portal is, most of the time i felt overwhelmed having to constantly be aware of the time portals rules
