This game is Quake 3 CPMA on crack. Although the movement is Quake 3 with QW/CPMA air control, it introduces a couple of small mechanics that change the game immensely. Slamming into a wall isn't the end, you can buffer wall-kicks to bounce and preserve your speed. If you miss a turn, you can buffer a dash as soon as you hit the ground to redirect your momentum with no speed loss. The result is the secret formula to keep game flow constantly moving at break-neck speeds with little interruption at higher levels of play.

The movement is fairly accessible but the skill ceiling is extremely high and arena-mode maps are built all around abusing these mechanics. A lot of improving your movement is spent studying map geometry that you can abuse, outsmart, and punish your opponents. While the gunplay itself is still a carbon copy of Quake 3 (save for minor things like railgun cooldown being slightly faster), the movement mechanics are such a game-changer that it stands out from other Quake-like arena shooters. There is an addictive quality to taming this beast of a movement system where the more you push its mechanics, the more rewarding it is.

As of currently, the playerbase is very friendly and there are many ranging from all skill levels. If you hop in and ask questions, many others are willing to step in and lend a hand.
