Arc Raiders has been the biggest surprise of the year for me. The gunplay feels unbelievably clean—every weapon has weight, kick, personality, and a real learning curve. Fights feel different whether you’re in dense forests, dusty plains, ruined suburbs, or underground bunkers, and the game constantly pushes you to adapt instead of just holding W and spraying. It’s refreshing to play a shooter where movement, positioning, and weapon choice actually matter.

But what really makes this game stand out is the community. For once, it doesn’t feel like a toxic pile of voice chat and flaming. People revive each other, share loot, ping threats, and actually work as a team—without being forced to. Random squads feel like actual squads, not strangers ignoring each other. From day one, players have been sharing tips, helping new people, and celebrating big wins together. It’s rare to see a game bring people together like that, and it’s a huge part of why Arc Raiders is the best experience I’ve had this year.
