It's OK. I still prefer the original variant due to the SFX and cheat codes being present there. Since this version on Steam uses stock screams / audio and some cheat codes missing from here. Otherwise it's the same game with the only addition of having an additional bonus story with this pack, which is a randomly generated short filler experience with three different endings. If you wanna support the devs then by all means go for it.

My only complaint is also that the sprites are different in this one than in the original release, with more options and preferences given like faster speed mode and wide screen support but alas the sprites of the characters look weirder without windowed mode and not using original font. So some of the nostalgia kinda floats by the by if you ignore these necessities and choices given for this release.

The shortest way I can describe for the Resi4 Remake is that it delivers same passion and example as the original one with a few changes. Most visible ones are few skipping shortcuts, new weapons some being stripped down or another and some cut content from the original. My biggest complaints are timings and hitboxes with parry system additionally given the different directions with the cutscenes. I wouldn't mind these things a lot but trying to go for speedrun achievements kinda made me realize that they've not polished some hiccups with the new systems provided for the game. And it feels way more stripped down as some of the content is not here and moved towards Separate Ways DLC, which is behind paywall and not coming in for free with the whole package like in the original. Additionally skipping on filler Assignment: Ada. (Still odd how in remake Ada and Krauser never make any eye contact)

Now allow me to also break down the more bull turd mechanics added in. Previously in the original Resi4 you had collectible blue medallions used for gallery view with playable sounds and whenever you win all the shooting gallery rounds. In Remake however, you can test your skills by perfecting them. But you also get special medals now, being silver and gold which doesn't really matter- since you still get random chances of playing gacha unlocks. Yes, they added gacha in Remake. Worst part is that there's a speed bonus charm you can attach to your attache case. Which ruins the immersion and the illusion of Leon not running fast enough as his movement is nerfed due to charm's existence. Thus having all of the charms being from the original Resi4 models isn't cute, it's a tease. Makes you wanna question why even bother making HD Project as an official release for Resi4 Original in the first place.

Regardless, I think I had my dosage of repeating this game multiple times but I'd still prefer the original due to enough cheesiness and one-liners with movie cliches given. In Remake you're given less of it. I'm also not too keen how they've pumped up DLCs with "easing" up your runs? Yes, some folks don't have much time but also defeats purpose even further on completing these games.

Another Killer that got badly rushed out. She was actually decent in PTB but they literally null her powers having zero cooldown, she can fast switch and fast down you in open area, you can't even miss her infection attacks having fastest projectiles in comparison from the rest of the Killers. Pretty much Krasue just infects then downs Survivors with zero skill required to do. She can roam around the map or chase down Survivors with ease whenever she floats and she has third-person advantage while flying... you can't damage non-infected Survivors while flying but it doesn't matter as she can easily maneuver back and forth in lightning speed. I seriously hope she gets same treatment of having some cooldown like others Killers but once again, she was fine in PTB. This is just bull, yet Behavior proves they cannot do jack as usual.

In any case perks aren't that interesting in this bundle. Big changes that were suppose to happen coming from this chapter have postponed but other crucial perks have been changed- some better some worse.

To be fair game is the same as you'd expect from the original, with couple of changes here and there.
Most biggest change being the obvious the OST. I hear the community already knocking on this one for a long term as soon as the trailer came out but there's a reason why, not to mention if you play the game fully the re-done soundtracks in most places feel too quiet and less given ambience throughout the levels. Even bosses lack some beat or rhythm being the very few selection being OK sounding. There's a reason why Alias Conrad Coldwood's composition is better due to how memorable it is years later. I understand why he didn't want his composition to be in it resulting change of OST but still a shame to hear this. And I'd highly suggest anyone giving this game a try to go for the original download first before trying the remake for a comparison. It's worth noting it's a surprise that Toby Fox and Camellia are in this for the soundtrack composition- but alas it just doesn't have the right pizzazz to it. Thus also removing Dopefish easter egg from the game and Judy Garland's Somewhere Over the Rainbow song being replaced.

Gameplay however is a bit retouched up with sped up options but no auto-mode play, which is an odd choice but something to sacrifice with. Characters and stats have more information and better display, Batter's Wide Angle can only give proper info on which enemy has resistance or weaknesses towards bosses / enemies. You don't need to use Wide Angle to scan enemies' names since hovering and selecting them displays already than in the original. Enemies and you with your add-ons now display whenever you have crits which wasn't a thing being random in the original. Some bosses are also immune to poison and can't be spammed on certain ones. The only biggest difference I've noticed that Japhet the 2nd Guardian of the ZONE does spam lot of skills towards you, meaning you're forced to use items to fix yourself up than in the original.
There's other small details and changes but not much to talk about really.
Now the extra content? It's pretty much extra bosses with small expanded locations from previous areas when zones are purified. If I recall some were scrapped enemies and didn't debut in the original being the crab one now being inside the remake. These extra bosses have nice visuals but some attacks are repeating in future boss fights which kinda makes it very... meh? With a little patience and fully geared up loadout you can beat them in a jiffy. But they're very filler, you really don't get any specific rewards for beating any of them other than just a random boss glamorous fight to it.

I mean, that's about it. There's not much to share other than knowing there's filler bosses added after ZONES have been purified, retouched up visuals and on general gameplay with main soundtrack being different.

It's still fair for Mortis Ghost getting some penny from this but I'm feeling still a bit uncertain if the content is worth it since there's not much to see than replaying the same game with an extra stretch to it. 'Cause what you see is what you get. It's a big shrug to me, cause I like OFF but I'd rather stick to the original what it had to offer.

If you want the community done right, do it yourself- or it goes something quite the opposite.
For the first time in history of Dead by Daylight, community complained that they were "unable" to play Freddy Krueger
just because they couldn't count to seven seconds. Let me repeat that again for you: couldn't count to SEVEN.

This is the result of nerfing this Killer to the ground making him even more boring and more disappointing M1 Killer. Giving first nerf was spawning puddle of blood that slows down Survivors who enter it being inside the Dream World, wouldn't affect if awake. Could teleport to gens too giving indication as gens spurt blood but could fake it too to scatter Survivors away. Even worse with add-ons. Then another recent update nerfed him even more giving mobile slowdowns that go into directions, you can also spawn fake pallets that were in his previous nerf being add-ons but now full kit that you can swap out and still teleport. But now you can teleport to already popped gens that are complete and see Survivor's healing actions? For some reason?

Seriously this happened because people couldn't count and made a reboot movie Killer to be this bad. Community is full of cretins if this doesn't say much.

Also to explain. When Freddy Krueger came out he could drag Survivors into Dream World. And Survivors couldn't see him. But Survivors could snap themselves with the help of the others and Dream World Clocks to wake up. Dragging Survivors into Freddy's dream world causes them to go into countdown by default 7 seconds and there were add-ons to lessen this to 4-5s if I recall. But Survivors still could counter due to his movement hearing and keeping distance as you could stun and vault over pallets and windows. Sure this made him an M1 Killer but there was at least guessing game involved before going into full chases- it's just any healing action or gen action failing could result you waking up making Self-Care perk being overpowering against him. Devs could genuinely just reduce his default timer to 5s at least and roll with it.

Also Quentin went from goblin mode to sexy mode with his face. Thus both perks were good from Survivor and Killer. Especially introducing exit gate perks for the first time from Freddy.

Oh cool, a Killer that uses AI generated voices. Anyway...

Killer itself can spawn pods across the map if they even bother sticking to them and use them to stick first then teleport to Survivors from stationary pods or from mid-chase. Teleporting though with recent patch notes gives faster boosts on enduring stuns, breaking actions and supposedly easier to catch up- however I've gone through many Killers who genuinely keep spamming the power and never able to catchup so probably bad Killer design, right? But jokes aside this is suppose to be a high tier Killer that can keep up across the map. Despite Survivors can still use the spawned special chests that give you an EMP charger to temporary remove the pods- well COULD remove them but now they're gonna remain same positions and just bust them for a minute or so. But Survivors can remove the pods sticking to their backs with the EMP forcing the Singularity to use stationary pods to attach to them. He is a teleporting Killer that can do so much but is an M1 Killer if used incorrectly with the power. Sometimes teleporting can force you to be outside of a window and not inside for instance.

And another Survivor into the dollhouse. Perks on both sides are OK. Nothing too peculiar though.

So, I'm hearing how this DLC was free to enter once you've bought it. But now Bungie decided to make most of the DLCs "extra" behind the paywall. Meaning once you purchase this you need to purchase 20$ in-game currency to buy a "key" to enter. This applies all across other expansions which is the most dumbest thing ever. It's ridiculous even when you consider getting most of it without on sale. I know that campaigns are fine as they are, you pay what you get for story, loot and gear.

But this is absurd even coming from Bungie. Please get this on sale if you wanna bother.

Me and my friend bought this on sale. Being a bit pricey we managed to snag it and play together.
First impressions were OK. But later on it got incredibly repetitive, both for gameplay and gunplay.
The game itself offers "variety" of things to explore but it is the same biomes and levels over and over again, weapons, armor, leveling system, perks and items themselves don't offer much difference than going with same meta. Campaign and adventure share same familiarity but redundant as heck. You can re-do the events from the campaign stuff you missed inside adventure mode which is literally dungeon exploration example where you re-roll the dice to shoot a different RNG having a chance to have a chance on getting your items or runs if you missed some. The game feels tedious and devs are incredibly cruel- ESPECIALLY on getting the rarest material in the whole game, you can cheese it easily in one area thankfully but it is so long to finish it regardless if you're trying to go for achievement hunting cuz believe me, I do NOT recommend this game for both casual experience or achievement hunting. It is extremely boring and repetitive. Gamemodes offer no replayability value which should be makes it a dull experience.

Story feels extremely boring too, game is full of secret interactions but holy heck no. It is so not worth it.
I do hear second Remnant is better in terms of everything but I did see the gameplay having same bosses return and such so huge no. These devs can't be bothered to make something original or test their own game.

Two Survivors in this bundle. Comes with a new map as well which you don't need the DLC in general for.
Basically another dolls for your collection of Survivors and some Legendary skins which just have bad voice acting along with the default ones. Now the perks? Some are completely broken and have too good synergy with them. I won't spoil the beans but up to you to find out, but as usual devs were reported in the test builds but not fixed either sooooo great job as usual.

Way to bring more annoying conglomerated example of perks that break the game more and make Killers unable to read these perks out.

I will say this though: Michonne being the new Blendette is not what I wanted to know until now. Can you tell I hate this DLC?
