This game has a lot of content in it and a lot of work clearly went into this game. Unfortunately it just feels terrible to actually play. Passing feels imprecise. Tackling is more complicated than it needs to be. Players feel like they are moving in molasses. The kick distance penalties in the kicking game are absurd. Nothing in this game feels exciting or dynamic. Everything feels plodding, frustrating, and uninteresting.

The guncrafting system is the star of the show. Each level's unique setup allows you to try out loads of different weapon combinations. It is a ton of fun!

Bottom line, Nova-111 is a ton of fun! It has a cool mechanic where it mixes turn-based and real-time and all of the enemies and abilities make the most of this mechanic. The time mechanic, mixed with these unique enemies and interesting abilities, lead to interesting combat encounters and environmental challenges.

On top of this, Nova-111 is EXTREMELY polished. The art style and animations are great, as is the music and overall tone of the game. I also haven't run in to any bugs at this point. This polish makes the game a pleasure to play, and the entire aesthetic package makes me feel good while I am playing.

Nova-111 looks good, plays good, and utilizes interesting mechanics. This small team did a fantastic job with this Nova-111 and I look forward to seeing what they do in the future. Nova-111 is WELL worth the $15 price tag.

- Have to create a separate account, can't just use my Steam account.
- The "Tutorial" gives you minimal information, no overview of characters, no overview of the character they assigned you, and never bothers to cover abilities
- My camera wouldn't pan for the first few rounds. Like it literally just sat there at spawn as my character moved around. I had to dig around in the menus to see that I needed to press 'Y' to unlock the camera for some reason....
- The game decided it was cool if it bought all my gear and upgraded all my abilities for me without ever telling me about gear or abilities (despite throwing a huge menu in my face) or telling me that it would be doing it all for me.
