Ironically, I'm in the same boat. I bought it for $48, hell of a deal if I say so myself. I bought the game from the site then subsequently got my key, no jumping through some hoops. Easy as pie!

Did you already preoder Dishonored 2? Thinking about getting from a third party, the lower price is really tempting. Although I don't mind paying what it initally cost on Steam, disappointed there wasn't a discount of some sort like Shadow Warrior 2 for instance for having the previous game.

I never mentioned your avatar is awesome, its making me crave a new Prince of Persia really bad. Really sad that Ubisoft has swept PoP under the rug.

My intuition senses are tingling, new Dishonored is in the works and its going to be announced at E3. Seriously though, I hope that a sequel comes to fruition, if its any indication that Bethesda is having a conference at E3 and they tentatively showed Dishonored and Arkane Studios have been tight-lipped after Dishonored came out--then I'm sure its not far-fetched that a sequel is in development. I would be happier than a school girl if Bethesda says there's going to be a sequel to Dishonored in the pipeline. All of my yes.

To answer your question, my favorite game this gen so far is The Witcher 2. I haven't gotten to play through Dishonored, which honestly could eclipse it, but the Witcher 2 reminded me why I love RPGs so much. Most games that get the RPG genre name attached to them simply involve some progression or loot, but the Witcher 2 involves you inhabiting a role, and effecting the world around you with choice. Not blue/red Bioware stufff, but choices that would alter 1/3 of the game.

Another of my old favorites would be Planescape Torment. It just has such a strong story, probably the best I've seen in a game, and it's another one that is entirely driven by player choice. The message and meaning, how it answers the question: "What can change the nature of a man?" is delivered based on what the player chooses and believes.

In all seriousness though, I seen your posts in Kotaku constantly now (you with the Iorweth avi, (sticking out like a sore thumb sometimes lol) awesome character design and personality to boot in my book) and you seem to know the ropes when it comes to the up and downs for video games. My hat goes off to you, your posts are really interesting to read and are very open to discussion and your vocabulary is vast,(bet your a walking dictionaryxD), your definietly are a breath of fresh air.

Alas, just wanted to ask a quick question, what's your favorite game(s) this gen or from yesteryear. Would love to hear your suggestions.
