I never played, nor heard much of, this game even when it was in its MMO phase, but I had peeked at it multiple times post-MMO phase and never bit the bullet until now.... and boy am I an idiot for waiting.

This game is fun and checks all the boxes for me. Action Combat, Diablo-ish loot system, decent customization, housing, exploration, story, co-op, etc. There is just so much to it and it does all of it right.

Performance wise, I have not run into a single issue. I have graphics all the way maxed with no FSR on, and I have plenty of FPS; I have not experienced any crashes either.

The one and only regret I have is not buying this game sooner! BIG kudos to the dev team for this gem. I hope development continues for a long time after official launch.

It ticks all the check boxes as a Marvel fan and long time gamer.

I have not had near the amount of graphical glitches, sound glitches, performance drops, etc that apparently others have had.

Has my game crashed once or twice in the 4 days I have played? Yes. Is it a deal breaker? No.

Does the combat require skill to master? Yes. But that to me is a plus. All these people saying “button mash” and saying the game is bad because of the combat are saying this BECAUSE they “button mash”. Learn the combos for the heroes, execute them correctly, know when to use the charge up abilities and when to dodge or go airborne. If you take the time to learn and get better than the combat is great. Not all of the heroes/heroines play the same or are created equal.

If you think about the vastness of the Marvel universe than you quickly realize the scope of potential this game has. The amount of heroes/villains they could add; Story arch’s, missions, worlds, etc. This is only the beginning of something great.

TL;DR:
Want a Marvel Avengers game that has great combat, great story and great potential? Than pick this up.

Want a giant open world, where you can roam around feeling invincible while playing your favorite super hero/heroine? Than pass.

Been waiting a long time for this game to come out. It is everything I had hoped for and more. Are there issues? Yes. But honestly what game at launch doesn't have them? And the developers are being responsive to the problems and are trying to fix the issues as best they can and naturally as fast/efficient as possible.

The graphics are top notch for an isometric game like this. The combat is fun. The story is decent so far. It has got it all.

If you are a fan of the ARPG genre I think you would be doing yourself a disservice not trying this game.
