Early Access Review
Game was recommended by a friend.
I never played a Mega-man type game so this was actually a new experience.

I'm really surprised how well everything did feel. I do actually like the Blade Wheel mechanic.

My only suggestions, at least right now, are:
-Adding a small forgiveness window when you take damage. Just a small damage immunity.
-Adding an Up/down melee attack for more aerial/ground combat.
-Maybe adding a charm/augment system to give variations of certain abilities.

Overall, I did enjoy it. Very cute. I streamed and got a bunch of my friends (Including Josh Allen) to watch.

In terms of length, this game's entire campaign is more or less a very long Act in others. I would liked to have kept playing more since I like story-telling, which there isn't too much of.

Look, I'm not gonna complain about it being an action based game. You shoot, you slash, and stomp orks/demons heads in. I didn't have a desire to try playing it on a harder difficulty as it would be more of the same, just more hiding behind cover.

I'm this big ass juggernaut, I want to feel like I am unstoppable. This game sometimes gets it right but more often than not doesn't.

Campaign is more or less 7-8 hours, and I have no interest in doing anything involving the Online multiplayer.

Wait for a discount if you REALLY want this. But otherwise, I would just suggest passing it.

Out of the Battle-Royale genre, I think Hunt: Showdown does it best. You are given an objective, the Bounty. Find, Kill, Banish, Extract. That is the routine and the only real rules set in stone.

You can reach "Bayou Diplomacy", find an agreement between other Hunters, or simply be an campy assassin and just hunt down other players until the map is clear and the prize is your's to take.

You have several different weapon types, and ontop of that, weapon variants to play with and choose your preferred way to engage in combat.

Hunt excels in the idea of "Hunt Giveth, and Hunt Taketh" as there will be games where you will decimate all those before you, and you feel empowered and strong. But then you spawn into a match next to a team and get lit up, dying before 1 minute mark.

You will die. It happens and it WILL happen. Don't get attached to an Hunter, as it can be gone in a flash. Hunt has proven itself to be a gritty game that rewards it's players for staying with it and learning from each encounter, figuring out how to be a better Hunter and a better team-mate.

Would I recommend Hunt:Showdown? Combined with my hours on PS4 and the time I have on PC, yes. It's arguably the best BattleRoyale in the market.
If I was to list a negative in this game, it would be TWO things.
- Absolutely requires Headphones
- Steep learning curve

Some people don't have headphones, especially 3D tracking. You will need them as it can help you pinpoint EXACTlY where something is. This game puts a very large emphasis on sound and you will need to have the proper tool to be on an even playing field.
The learning curve is steep, but through time, it has lessened and become more accessible to newer players. Less gate-keeping by veteran players but you will run into the issue where you are Prestige 0, Rank 40 and you still get matched against a Prestige 12 Hunter.

It happens and sometimes it's pretty lame. But this game does not reward flick-shots. This is not some Call of Duty FPS shooter. This is a Battle-Royal FPS prioritizes Positioning and Awareness over anything. More so than your choices of weapons, than the numbers of surviving players, or how godly you were in BlackOps 2.
Work as a team or die alone.

I've not finished it, by any means.
I've played a couple levels and I think it's fun. I normally would get my games on my PS4 but I decided to play this on PC because I wanted a better experience with dealing with a First-Person-Perspective.

Music is bopping.
Combat is based on perfection, which I can personally get into.

I would say if you like slaying and going at fast speed like in Doom:Eternal and Katana Zero, this is good pick.
Or if you are desperate for some cyber-punk feel since CyberPunk2077 keeps getting delayed.

Well music is good. Waifus are good.
Some of the puzzles really make you think about your actions. Kind hard.

Boss fight was fun.

Well I played this game for a decent amount of time. I've put in the effort to go through all the main endings and my biggest disappointment was that: I was expecting to ride a very emotional roller-coaster.
I was disappointed as I was expecting a good story to have me crying or even watery-eyes at the story. But after the 2nd playthrough, any of the big reveals were...lack-luster. I wasn't found baffled or surprised as it all felt like it had small impact.

The only case I felt as that really yanked at my heart-strings was with the side-story of side character rather than the main 3. I found the whole build around Adam and Eve boring. They had very little screen time for me to even acknowledge them. They weren't there to harrass you, or even just taunt you through the game. It was just one boss fight after another. And the only reason we ever knew their motives was because of cutscenes randomly thrown in just so we know what they were thinking. It felt just kinda boring to me. 9S was this curious person who had actual personality but was shunned every step of the way for having one.

2B was callous, cold, and calculating. But that's the only the ever side we see. Sure, there is the moments where she calles 9S "Nines". But at the end of the first playthrough, 9S' body is killed once again. And we see 2B crying.
And this bothered me so much because we take this cold stiff character, that wasn't even acting like the cold but caring type, just COLD.

And then she just sorta breaks down and I'm expected to accept that? Even after the other endings, explaining why she broke down the way she did. I felt like it was...kinda just weird on the writing. The moments I was meant to feel emotions were taken away out of sheer ignorance because at that time, I did not know enough about these characters to care or even feel remotely attached.

But enough with my complaints on Story.
In short, I found the Story to be lacking. Uninteresting as how it breaks things down.
The gameplay was interesting. It wasn't really new by any means if you've played Bayonetta or even Metal Gear Rising. Different angle but same result. Due to the weapon classes, it allows variety in attacking so that was appreciated.
As for voices, music, graphical setup. Voices were good, I like both Japanese and English versions. Both well excuted.
Music is AWESOME. Plain and simple.
As for graphics, other than there is no Full screen windowed mode or that it goes from Full Screen to Windowed mode when I tab out (which I do a lot.) Gets a bit frustrating having to move through the settings again and again.
I never ended up experiencing any serious problems like Data Loss, White screens or anything else. It ran smoothly and was overall fun to play.

Despite my problems with the story, I still say this game is worth a buy. If I was to give a rating, I would give it a 8/10

The game encourages you to use multiple different types of weapons and Warframes.
While the game does support solo-play, that is not where it's true potienal lies. A solid 4-stack makes this game fun and less stressful at times. (And with some well-humored friends, it's hiralious.)
I'm not going to say there is a WIDE range of diversity but there is a way to make your warframes and your weapons unique to you.
Plenty of ways to progress in the game and beginner-friendly.
I recommend this game entirely to anyone who want to play with friends in a new type of cooperative play.

Alright. I've played with only one friend so far.
About only an hour's worth of play. Yet for that whole hour, we could not stop laughing and having fun. I have to say that I really enjoy this game and I think it's just out-right funny and entertaining. Should you buy this game? Absolutely.

What can I say? I've played this game for about 8 hours and I enjoyed the hell out of it. This is a beat 'em up game I can stick to long while. The community is friendly. The gameplay is fun. And cooperative. And if you want to duke it out with your friends, you can do PvP. I love this game and I wish for his progress to continue and never stop. 5/5

Great game. I like it quite a bit. As game with set-ups like this. Reply value isn't high. There wouldn't be much surprise or to expect. Other then that, it's a nice game. If the survival part of the game was a big part, like food and water, I would like this a lot more.
