When I do my third play-through of Skyrim, I'm going to run the original game. I see no compelling reason to mess with "SE".
For one, the visual changes are utterly minimal, and furthermore the overall look is not improved, but changed, which is a matter of preference.
Since SKSE is crucial to me, and I don't plan on running more than a handful of mods at most, I don't think it's worth it to deal with the unwelcome aspects of the "SE".
