I can't recommend this game despite decent gameplay. The FOV scaling is terrible—on some screens, it effectively locks the FOV to around 50, leaving your character's lower half out of view. There's no FOV slider or plans to fix it.

Additionally, the lack of LAN support is frustrating, especially since the online services frequently disconnect or corrupt local files. My partner and I just want to play together, but we spend more time troubleshooting than gaming.

A proper LAN option and functional FOV settings would make a huge difference, but the developers seem unwilling to address these issues.

Bought the game back when FOV for ultrawide screens were fixable. Since then a patch has been released that breaks the old fix and I can't play on all of my screen anymore without feeling sick. So far nothing has been done by the development team to address this issue. I wouldn't buy this game in its current state and I would refund it if I could.

A great co-operative experience that knows exactly what it is trying to be and is very comfortable being the best at it.

A very good single player experience well worth my time.

Sadly it still has performance issues regardless of graphics setting (and even on my 5950x & RTX 4080).

It is also worth noting that the game can become quite grindy with a lot of optional powerups and collectibles that you will encounter even early on, but only reachable after you gain additional abilities as part of the story. Some quite late towards the end.

I played through Doom Eternal the first time having great fun just jumping around like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scrub not really using the tools at my disposal. Then I replayed it on Nightmare actually learning the combat loop and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this is my favourite game in the whole world.

Its a great and faithfull recreation of the MW Classic.
I have enjoyed the new features and graphics greatly, but also felt nostalgia while playing through the game.
