amazing story, graphics, and gameplay. what more could you ask for?

first 2 hours: tolerable, after that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ its just the same cancer puzzles over and over. they make u find stupid rune shapes in the environment maybe like 80 times throughout the game. the first few times it was kind of cool, after the novelty wore off, they ran it so far into the ground i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cant stand it. i had to watch MULTIPLE youtube videos of where the runes are because of how many there are and at a certain point i was just saving myself time. also THE MOVEMENT SYSTEM IS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CANCER. ur two options are either walk, or hold L1 for a brisk jog. when i say brisk i mean ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slow. there is no sprint, u just lightly jog around the map, and multiple puzzles require u to do long backtracking to places u have been so like literally 40% of the "playtime" is just jogging around the map. id say its 40% jogging, 50% cutscenes, 10% combat. thats the breakdown of the game. also in terms of story, that ♥♥♥♥ was so esoteric and pretentious. like i still cant really tell you about what the story was about aside from, ur trying to free the soul of ur dead boyfriend from hell. i have no idea what exactly "the darkness" is, who the narrator is, who the mom is. i really couldnt understand the story at all. i got the jist but like brother i was so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lost especially towards the end. also if i have to hear the main character whimper and scream and cry one more time im gonna lose it. that was legit 70% of her scenes was just her screaming and crying.
and the combat is so surface level i was just doing the same combo for the entire game, they try to change it up with a mirror ability but all it does is make u go slow motion so u can get more hits in so i was doing the same thing anyway. the lock on system is autistic, it automatically locks on to enemies and u cant lock off them to move around. ur only option is to switch between locked on enemies. i dont even have to explain why thats cancer. it got especially bad near the end of the game when they throw like 20 goobers at u and u cant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ maneuver properly so u just die cause ur in a corner and the enemies are blocking u.

"guys we cant let them sprint or jump because its not cinematic."
also they put u on training wheels the entire game because every ledge has an invisible barrier so its impossible to fall of anything because the game doesnt let u go anywhere but the linear path ur supposed to take
no need to jump buddy cause theres an invisble wall there anyway

also u do like 5 puzzles to unlock a "new" god killing sword, but it literally functions the exact same as the old one except if u charge ur heavy attack it glows blue, does the same attack animation, but now it can hit the enemies when they go "shadow mode"

ive never been so underwhelmed by a new weapon its insane
it is 99% functionally the same. it doesnt even do more damage to enemies, they take the same hits to kill
