It's really sad to see how Valve threw CS:GO under the bus to replace it with this inferior successor.
As if the game wasn't in a bad enough state already, this last "The Armory" update is just a complete joke. They sell it as a big update when it's literally just a few skins and a few bug fixes that people have been asking about for months. The game should've already released with all of this. It's been out for AN ENTIRE YEAR at this point, not even counting the beta months, and the game still feels horrible and they're still patching bugs that shouldn't even have been there at release.
I'm not gonna go into details here on why CS:GO at the end of it's lifetime was just miles better than CS2, many many other reviews have already written about that and I agree with most of them.

But why did they have to completely get rid of CS:GO?
Why did they have to take so many features away from us just to then slowly give them back over the course of years?

It's also so incredibly obvious that development has slowed down to a crawl lately because of the Deadlock hype. Clearly the devs don't care enough about the game. It makes them money no matter what they do, so it does make sense. As soon as a new game is on the horizon all the devs probably switch to development on that and leave only a few people on CS.
Yeah so anyway, it's sad to see how far we've fallen from the heights of CS:GO in terms of game quality.
CS:GO was never perfect, but we loved it for what it was, the best FPS in the world, if you ask me.
It should surprise absolutely no one that people are going to get mad if you take away their opportunity to play their favorite game and replace it with something worse. It'll take many many years of fixing and tweaking to bring this game even close to CS:GO.
Very disappointing from Valve, who I usually rate extremely high as a game developer..

This game has probably the most wasted potential out of all games I have ever played.
It's extremely sad that the game is cursed by having these absolutely incompetent developers.
Every patch introduces many new bugs, some old, some new. They all take forever to get fixed, if at all.
Every other patch breaks the game completely in some way. And that's already on top of these being some of the most slowly working developers for I've ever seen for an AAA game this size.
If the gunplay wasn't one of the best out of any shooter ever, I would've stopped playing many thousand hours ago. But alas, I keep coming back because the uniqueness of the game and the amazing gunplay. I've invested so much time and money (every DLC) into this game and into getting better that I don't want to waste it all by quitting now, I always think to myself.
I'm trapped by the desire to keep playing, trapped by my own stubbornness and refusal to waste all that time invested into learning and trying to improve.
It's a vicious cycle, don't make the same mistakes and fall into it like I did, it's not good for your health.

And now they've just revealed that they're going to completely overhaul the entire gunplay by adding bullet drop into an iron sight focused game, 5 years after release. Simple incredible. The stupidity of this move cannot be put into words. The next thing that's going to break the game in the near future, great.
As if a one-hit throwable weapon that has 300m range, costs nothing and can easily be resupplied wasn't enough..

Anyway, the game could be so good, it could be the best, it has potential to be one the GOATs of shooters... but not with these developers, not with Crytek.

Early Access Review
This game is insanely good. Seriously impressive how they fit all these different genres together and make it work so well with a genuinely interesting story.. and all that with HL1 graphics.

Overall very good experience. Mission trees finally add a lot of missing flavor to nations like Ming, Ottomans and Russia. The reworks of older trees are also appreciated, although not always needed (like France). New mechanics and government reforms add a good amount of more flavor and variety to a game that can sometimes feel all too same-y when you have spent thousand of hours in it. The amount of bugs is so negligible that you likely won't notice any at all... Oh and would you look at that, literally all the bugs that people did complain about on reddit or on here have been addressed in a hotfix just 1 day after launch, so what's there to complain about really?

Whether or not it's worth 20 bucks is gonna be different for everyone, just really annoys me that other people can't stop crying about prices like they're some universally accepted measurement of criticism. I pay 20 bucks because I know I'll enjoy the content and it's worth it for me. If it's not the same for you, that's fine, but stop crying about it with every single DLC release and just buy it on sale.

This DLC does not deserve mixed reviews, I looked at every review that was on this page before writing this, all the points people complained about have either been fixed, are extremely minor/negligible or it's just the usual dummies who write negative reviews about every DLC, because how DARE they have to pay for stuff, while never being able to come up with a functioning alternative monetization system to keep an old game like this running for so long.

Dieses Spiel ist sehr gut: fesselnde Story, lustiges Gameplay (was selbst nach 20+ Stunden immer noch nicht langweilig wird!), viele Secrets und versteckte Pfade. Super Spiel! Kaufempfehlung!
