As a avid fan of the "SoulsBourne" Franchinse I can say with 100% certainty this is the best souls game yet. It takes the best from DS1 and DS2 and even some mechanics from Bloodbourne. However, as someone who rather enjoys using heavy strength builds its been a bit of a pain, the poise mechanic doesn't seem as well-worked as the previous titles.
