CS:GO Review
This game sucks so much bongo penis and yet I've found myself liking it. It's really your call.

8.5/10

This game is a must-play.

Let's start off with the story. The story is the absolute heart and soul of this game. It left me feeling disappointed that the game had ended and made me wanting more. The whole underlying theme of the game is weakness. It makes for some heart-felt and sometimes saddening moments when going through the game. If you're a person that loves to delve into story driven games, this game is for you.

Next up is the characters that you come across during your playtime. Again, the theme of weakness shines through each and every one of the characters. With every character having an insecurity or vulnerability. I found myself becoming emotionally attatched to nearly everyone of the characters (even the villains at some times). Because of the great story telling and strong character to go with it, I found myself brought to tears for the first time in a videogame.

Now. Let's not leave out the stunning visuals and soundtrack that went into this game. With a 10 year development, it really shows in both of these areas. The high-bit graphics accompanied with the vibrant colour pallettes makes for some real good eye-candy. The score for this game is amazing. It's the cherry on top for the game. Real props to the orchestra.

However, it's not all good,

The gameplay and the level design after the first 2 dungeons becomes old and stale.

But like, if you're looking to be sad after you complete this game, buy it.

I got this game because it was on sale, and I had a few extra bucks left over from selling my CSGO skins. When I bought it, I think I remember it being $5.49 or something. For that price, the game is great! It provides 4-4 1/2 hours of solid gameplay. The story is very unique, the soundtrack is amazing and atmospheric, and what really sold me were the visuals. The art style of the game is great and really suits the entire theme of the game, no matter the context of the situation. When the game is first welcoming you, the graphics make you feel cozy and safe. However, when the "scary" bits kick in, the art style succeeds at making you feel very uncomfortable.

While 90% of the game is great, there are some elements that are lacking. The one that really stood out to me was the voice acting. You'd think that your friend staring at you with red glowy eyes would be enough for you to have a mental breakdown. Guess not. And the AI that follows you around is very bad. I had to restart an entire chapter because Jonas couldn't climb up the rocks.

This game is great, but not worth the original $21.99 that it is here in Canada.

Do I reccomend this game? Yes.

This game may be small. It may be similar to ETS2. There my only be trucks. For all of you out there saying these things. STOP BEING BUTTHURT.

Lets break this down.

Number 1: People complain about the map size. Fair enough, the map isn't as large as we wanted it to be. If SCS would have added 2-3 more states, people would've still complained about the lack of detail. The map may be small, but it makes up for it in detail.

Number 2: "It's the same as ETS!".... IT'S A F*****G TRUCKING GAME. WTF DO YOU EXPECT. HONESTLY.

Number 3: So what there's only 2 trucks. Does it affect your ability to drive? Does it break the game? Didn't think so.

Thank you SCS for making this addition to your wonderful trucking genre.
